soyorganic (217), Denver, Colorado, USA Mar 13, 2009 Bottle, pours cloudy copper. Banana, citrus, dough aroma. Nice taste, it has a sublte dough like banana citrus sweetness complimented by a well timed dryness. High carbonation. Subtle citus vinous type notes linger in the aftertaste. Alcohol not noticeable. Very complex and hard to describe. This is quality. dEnk (8), Den Haag, Netherlands does not count Mar 10, 2009 Cloudy yellow/goldish pour with a big head. Somewhat sour taste with a subtle yeast flavor. Temperature is important, keep it on the low side of the advised 8-14 degrees, otherwise the alcohol quickly takes over. Nordcore (266), North of, Norway Mar 8, 2009 Apperance; light yello, Hazy with a big white head. Aroma; citrus, fruits and some yeast, pretty complex, but not as the Westmalle Dubbel, I like that much much better. You can’t tell that this is a 9,5% alcohol beer. Frovigalning (398), , Sweden Mar 7, 2009 Pours a hazy golden liquid with a big head of foam. At first the alcohol is well hidden and its hard to believe its 9,5%. Very pleasent taste, But after a few sips the high alcohol % in this beer takes over a bit. Maybe it was the temperature that dropped in the beer. But it draws down the points slightly. wordup (18), , New York, USA Mar 6, 2009 Beautiful pour, golden with semi yellow/goldenrod head, nice bubbles, not too carbonated, strong but good yeasty feel, no too sticky, bread-like, light hop, alc hidden, semi sweet, nice beer, id buy again, raw beer, beautiful lacing, its the stereotypical GOOD tripel... RHeastings (380), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 6, 2009 Enjoyed via 750ml bottle. Pours a clear yellow, not quite as light as the industrial beers, but not as dark as a pale ale. Head is outstanding, high, fluffy, and long-lasting. Initial nose is one of spiciness, with additional touches of malt and a light hop aroma (and I do mean light). This beer is a classic on the palate, a true example of excellence in the style. Notes of pilsner malt sweetness, estery fruits, and a spritzy and dry finish dominate. Furseth (1328), Kungälv, Sweden Mar 6, 2009 Bottle: Clear golden colour, with a big head. Aroma of citrus, fruits, flowers, and yeast noose in the end. Flavor is almost the same, with a werry nice balnced with the swet maltynes, and the typical belgian fruity/yeasty mouth feeling. A well done beer. Medium to full body, nice medium fruity/citric fiish. Werry nice! Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Mar 4, 2009 Nice tripel but it tastes alot of alcohol. I could have used a better blend of other flavors. Even still, I held higher standards for this one.
