Orange, good head. Spices and almost dark fruits in the aroma and the taste.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 TET (685) - FINLAND - MAY 28, 2011
Golden beer with a big and blond head. Aroma is nice and fresh, fruits, bananas and spicyness. Taste is fruitfull, some bananas, alcohol and peppery spicyness. Overally, taste is simple and uninspirating. Nice to drink with strong carbonation. More complexicity and alcohol should be totally hidden, now Westmalle is only medium Tripel.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 phredrik (707) - Aalborg, DENMARK - MAY 24, 2011
Bottle, 33 cl. Pours yellow with a nice white head. Aroma is nice and flowery yeasty, citrus, caramel, hayish malts, notes of ripe orange and pineapple. A bit of farmhouse like musty yeast notes. Taste is more robust, a very clear yeast component, flowery and sweet, taste of orange and pineapple, hayish and caramel malts. A bit peppery and spicy in the background. Very balanced, and the yeast component is very nice. Indeed a nice tripel. But I like the Dulle Teve a tad more than this one.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 MrHangover (342) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAY 23, 2011
Wow, what a shame I never drank this one before. This is for sure the mother of all tripels. Poured out of bottle being golden coloured, forming a nice 1,5 finger head. Aroma has little raisins, some yeast and subtle spices like rosemary and lavender. It goes down incredibly well for a 9%. Full bodied and round. Taste is soft and sweet, bitter a light hoppy bitter kick to it.

SCHIUMA:
schiuma abbondante, bianca, non finissima abbastanza persistente
COLORE:
oro chiaro con tonalità arancio, leggermente velata
INTENSITA’ / FINEZZA / AROMA
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 kevobutler (13) - USA - MAY 19, 2011
Bottle. Pours tanslucent orange-gold with clumpy white head. Aroma is of Belgian yeast, alcohol, sweet malts. Tastes of slight banana, slight clove but overwhelmed by alcohol taste. Very strong, fizzy carbonation mouthfeel. I think this may have been an older bottle
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 ADesenberg (135) - Ohio, USA - MAY 18, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 31, 2011 Bottle: pours a beautiful orange with a white head that slowly dissipates into slight lacing. Smells of citrus and a floral mild spice. Flavors consist of everything from an earthiness to the aforementioned citrus which is not as pronounced as the smell makes you think it will be. The aftertaste is the first time that you notice the alcohol as everything else fades away.
