Tried it both on tap and bottle in Belgium 2008. Tap version was amazing!

A moderate amber color with slight cloudiness. Thick, tight, frothy head that is well sustained. Floral, spice (cloves?), slightly fruity aroma that finishes with a very slight, sweet malty scent. Well founded carbonation with a sweet taste - not overpoweringly alcoholic that I thought I would taste. Nice, slightly dry finish of fruit and spices again.

Really nice tripel, one of my favorites. Good bitter flavor, bit of apple and banana, much malts and strong alcohol presence. Pretty awesome ;)

Pours a marshmallow creme white head with a golden body. Aromas of grassy hops and some yeast. Flavor is slight banana, alcohol, grassy, yeasty. Finish is sweet with the alcohol and a banana note, yet dry.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2012 Bottle. A golden yellow/orange colour with a nice white foam. The aroma is rather fruity, malty and a little hop. The taste is smooth with hints of banana, citrus and spices.

11.2oz bottle in a Trappist glass. Pours opaque golden with a thick, lacy, off-white head. Aroma of light malts, strong spiciness, light floral hops, and a very light note of alcohol. I used to think that this beer was overrated as one of the best Tripels, but now I realize that it really is one of the best. Smooth texture. A great beer.
