2006 vintage...pours a cloudy honey color...more orange than yellow...with a thin white head and decent lacing. very fruity aroma with apricot notes and the alcohol is evident. flavor is mildly fruity and a touch of sour up front but is dominted by alcohol and dry spicey-grasay hops in the finish. moutfeel is a bit thin. not what i was hoping for in this cellared bottle.

BOTTLE: from Four Firkins (St. Louis Park, MN). Pours a somewhat cloudy, off-orange yellow. Great aroma - fruit and alcohol. Taste is a little dry, plenty of booze, citrus, hops, grass. Good tripel.

Sour, sweet, and acidic flavors limit the appeal. The finish does have some dryness to it. Alcohol is not hidden, and burns in the stomach and mouth. I much prefer the dubbel.

I bought this and the dubbel and was pumped to try them. The dubbel tasted like total ass so I wasnt too hyped to try the tripel. Pours a hazy, orangish-yellow with a huge, bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus and hops. The taste was sour and of citrus and hops. Finish was grassy. Not too bad of a beer.

Dry but fruity. Very flavorful. A little too much carbonation for my taste, but that’s not a huge negative in my book. The alcohol taste was a bit too assertive as it warmed. Nice aroma, complex flavors. Good hop notes complete the package very well. Would buy again, although there are other triples that I enjoy more.

Crisp, dry, fruity and hoppy aroma leads to a huge, dry flavor of honey, lemon/citrus, pine. Big alcohol, great dry finish. Amazing balance and palate. Wow. One of the best. Critics say it used to be better. Wish I had had it then!

En mycket behaglig trappistöl som får snålvattnet att rinna till. Om det är något som ligger ölen i fatet (hmpf!) är det att alkoholsmaken tränger igenom och skapar en vass kant på en i övrigt välsmakande öl.

Pours auburn-brown. Aroma is nice. Hoppy and roasty. Flavor is very nice. Good, strong, balanced. Decently leaning toward hoppiness, but not overwhelming. Near perfection.
