Great aroma - fruit and alcohol. Taste is a little dry, plenty of booze, citrus, hops, grass. Good tripel. chimpscampee (556), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Sour, sweet, and acidic flavors limit the appeal. The finish does have some dryness to it. Alcohol is not hidden, and burns in the stomach and mouth. I much prefer the dubbel. OD40oz (600), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 23, 2009 I bought this and the dubbel and was pumped to try them. The dubbel tasted like total ass so I wasnt too hyped to try the tripel. Pours a hazy, orangish-yellow with a huge, bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus and hops. The taste was sour and of citrus and hops. Finish was grassy. Not too bad of a beer. rene676 (5), , Texas, USA does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 20, 2009 Dry but fruity. Very flavorful. A little too much carbonation for my taste, but that’s not a huge negative in my book. The alcohol taste was a bit too assertive as it warmed. Nice aroma, complex flavors. Good hop notes complete the package very well. Would buy again, although there are other triples that I enjoy more. KyotoLefty (1387), Kyoto, Japan
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jan 20, 2009 Crisp, dry, fruity and hoppy aroma leads to a huge, dry flavor of honey, lemon/citrus, pine. Big alcohol, great dry finish. Amazing balance and palate. Wow. One of the best. Critics say it used to be better. Wish I had had it then! dnoaksson (165), , Sweden

Flavor is very nice. Good, strong, balanced. Decently leaning toward hoppiness, but not overwhelming. Near perfection. TheJollyOne (204), Kofu, Japan
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 11, 2009 Huge pillowy head over a faded orange body. Beautiful look. Hoppy nose, grasses and flowers. Taste of fresh grass and a hint of caramel, very dry, bitter end. Quite spicy. Very fizzy palate, fills the whole mouth. NIce beer but I prefer the more malty trappists.
