Ar: Peaches, orange, a bit of ginger and black pepper. Ap: Straw gold, hazy - large meringue-like white head with good retention, fine bubbles, and clingy lacing. T: Medium-sweet orange and pear up front - bitter orange peel and herbal-spicy hop flavor mid-palate - mellow peach, pear, and orange on the finish, mixed with some spicy black pepper. P: Medium body, high carbonation - creamy mouthfeel from the carbonation that is accented with a carbonic bite on the finish, which is very dry. O: Just a wonderful beer - complex, refreshing, satisfying - fruit, spice, and bitterness all come together and harmonize superbly.

Sapore molto alcolico, nettamente luppolato. Rimane in bocca una nota amara molto prolungata. Sapore molto deciso.

From a bottle dated "Best Before 01/03/12." Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.

A: I tried to pour carefully but some sediment got in causing a hazy amber body with little almost no head, the head was white.

S: Slightly tart citrus fruit and some light malt hints.

T: Lemon upfront with pepper meshing well, there’s a slight alcohol taste at the end. There’s a lot going on, but this is what stands out. I can’t say I’m a big fan.

M: Very crisp, medium bodied with sharp carbonation.

O: I’m not sure if the dating is European or American, if it’s European, which I expect, then this is still before the best before date. If not then this may be bordering on too old to enjoy. I’ll have to try this fresher.

330 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on January 5. Pours clear pale golden with a huge fluffy white head that slowly dissipates while clinging to the glass. Smell is sweet with cilantro, lemon zest, black pepper, Belgian yeast and alcohol. Taste is sweet, spicy and slightly bitter with some alcohol. Very similar taste and smell. Finish is sweet and spicy. Perhaps a bit too much alcohol in the taste.

tried 20 dec brussels sprouts bar singapore .Westmalle tripel Served at right temp in proper glass Clear golden. Big white head that settles. Quite a crisp fresh fruity taste with lingering alcohol at the end. Very drinkable for the abv. Think it is better as a food accompaniment. Summer beer. Lacks the comfort factor of a gulden draak

Pours a cloudy orange with a white head and aroma of yeast. Flavor is of yeast, spices, citrus and alcohol with a bitter finish. Well balanced and good tripel.
