A strong, dry and spicy trappist ale. The product of a secondary fermentation lasting 5 weeks. This is a complex ale with a fruity aroma and a nice nuanced hop scent. It is soft and creamy in the mouth, with a bitter touch carried by the fruity aroma. An exceptional ale, with a great deal of finesse and elegance, and with a splendid long after taste.

330ml bottle. Hazy orange with a big fluffy white head. The aroma is nice, fruits, banana, spices, yeast. Strong taste, and a bit too sour and bitter for my liking, I felt it overpowered the other flavours. Dry finish. This is one Id like to try again and re-rate in the future.

Poured from a 9.4oz bottle into a trappist. Slightly cloudy amber, thin white head, good lacing. Nose of banana bread, and some alcohol when chilled. Alcohol seems to subside a bit as the temp. comes up. Citrus rind, tending towards bitter on the tongue, like grapefruit. Creamy texture that lasts. Less sweet, with an enduring, somewhat bitter finish. Excellent example of the style.

33 cl bottle. Hazy, golden to orange, thin off-white head, very lively carbonation and lacing. Aroma hits the nose immediately after pouring it into the glass. Grapefruit, bitter orange peel, dark fruits and a slight hint of alcohol. Taste is cherries, grapefruit and light alcohol up front. Dry and bitter cherry, long lasting aftertaste. World class? Oh, yes!!

Bionda chiara, moltissima schiuma cremosa e duratura. Profumo fruttato, malto caramellato, luppolo erbaceo. Frizzantezza medio-alta, sapore dolce, malto caramellato, fruttato, chiuso da un importante finale amaro sui toni erbacei, e secco, come da stile. Alcool ben nascosto. Molto buona, bilanciata ottimamente.

Poured from the bottle to the glass, drank from the glass. Aroma: plenty of caramel, a little resinous, some hay, and alcohol. Quite complex. Amber orange colour, hazy with big, white, stable head. Taste: more dry than sweet, medium bitterness. Medium body, nether thin nor oily, soft carbonation and bitter, long finish. Decent. Ive realised, that I dont like tripels... This one however is not so bad.

Pours a hazy golden yellow from the bottle with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave good lace. Aroma of Belgian yeast esters, banana, soft fruit, slight spice. Taste follows, ester is big, exactly what you would expect. This is the epitome of the style, good stuff if you like it.

Bottle, BB 10.03.17. 15 srm. Great head rentention. Dark orange with a bright yellow hue. Chilled haze. Reminds me of a Lost Abbey Belgian Golden (Porch). Less received residual malt sweetness vs StBT. Grain like a honey sweet graham cracker. Light fruity esters, but deep aroma of peppery spice comes to forefront. Straight cane sugar. Some alcohol burn, definitely not off-putting. Bit nutty as it warms up, Belgian yeast shampoo, floral, perfumey. Wet clay like Rochefort 6.

Deze tripel heeft een aroma van banaan en graan. De smaak is vol en rijk: hop, gist, tarwe. Een mooie schuimlaag. Troebel en goudgeel gekleurd.
