Pours a deep gold, usually a little cloudy as it’s really hard to avoid disturbing the sediment unless you leave a quarter of the beer in the bottle! Yeast, cloves and peppery hops on the nose, with hints of pear drops and a drying alcohol scent. In the mouth it is big and dry, with golden fruit, toffee, more peppery hops and a touch of peaches and cream, all leading into a dry alcohol and bitter finish. Lovely stuff, though a bit over-carbonated.

A rather lager-like aroma of unroasted malt and grassy noble hops, but with a fair amount of funk. Clear amber, thick lacing head. Medium body, slightly sweet. Flavor is of malt, candi, and hints of grass. Funked up palate. Not terribly exciting, but a fairly nice departure from the sub-standard Tripels I’ve had in the past. It isn’t too peachy and the alcohol is not insistent.

Slightly cloudy yellow pour, little head dissipated quickly. Light aroma with a hint of spice and citrus. Some apricot, or maybe grapefruit in the flavor (the bitterness of the hops makes me think of grapefruit). Its not bad, but more bitter than I like.
