UPDATED: SEP 27, 2010 Another great autumn/winter brew that never lets you down. In fact, I’m about to stock up for the football game this weekend.

A cloudy pour with visible particles remaining from the brewing process, it looks more like a fresh apple cider than a beer. But it has a tangy, sweet and sparkly taste. Doesn’t look like much, but was a great beer with a lobster supper.

Bottled, bought in Amsterdam. Color cloudy golden with nice white head. Aroma, flowers, citrus and notes of yeast. Taste fruit, hints of orange, pepper, nice light bitter finish. Alcohol is present in taste, but beer is complex and smooth. Very nice beer.

750 mL bottle as a birthday present. Pours a pale, hazy yellow color with a large off-white head. The aroma is fruity and spicy, with notes of oranges, apricots, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. The flavor is sweet, with a strong citrus sourness. The spices are not upfront, but add a subtle bite. There is almost no bitterness, except for a light and lingering aftertaste. It has a medium body, with a rather creamy texture. The spices add a definite roughness to the mouthfeel. A wonderfully complex beer, well worth the time to savor.

From a 750 mL bottle. Pours an opaque, muted honey gold with frothy head that lingers. Nose is mild, of hops. Taste is nutty, hint of bananas that has a pleasant crescendo and fade. It is possible to taste the alcohol. Damn good and worthy of its marks.

Hazy pale pour with nice fluffy white head that laces all the way down. Lots of carbonation, dry at the end. Taste is spicey and a little sweet and sour. Very nice.

Bottle. Great triple. Not my favorite, but very respectable.. Deep straw color with a lot of froth. Definite floral hops and yeast in the nose. Taste is spicy and sugary with light fruits. Solid full mouthfeel with a fair bit of carbonation. The balance is spot on with the alcohol masked very, very well.

A-pours a light yellowish amber color, quite a nice haze to it, lots of pure white fluffly head leaving a good bit of lace. S-the nose is solid, lots of lemon up front, hints of honey, hops set in lightly with notes of grassy hay and a bit of alcohol with some white peppery spice in the back. T-the taste is quite a bit spicier. the lemon grass is strong up front, the honey lies underneath. a good malt body, yeasty and spicy, hints of alcohol with a fair bit pepper in the back. the hops are grassy and hay like with a light hop bitterness. M-good feel, highly carbonated and ctive but not biting, lighter in body with a grainy crips finish and slightly juicy. D-this is a well balanced complex brew that is quite good. the flavors are rich and the complexity is quite nice. this is a great brew!
