330ml bottle from Congress, Longton. Pours amber with white froth. Spicy with a good hop presence. Easy drinking for it’s strength. It has the "feel".

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
0,33 bottle from Svijet Piva. Pours cloudy yellow with small white head. Yeasty aroma with some spices, some fruit. Medium carbonated. A bit sourish at first, but looses it til the end. I understand this is high quality beer, but it doesn’t suit me as good.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Torst, Brooklyn. Pours a hazy yellow with a creamy white head that lasts. Superb lacing clinging to the glass. Nose has Belgium yeast, spices, cloves and some booze. Smells like a big beer. Taste is plums, raisins, cloves and spices. Creamy mouthfeel and low carbonation. Alcohol creeps as it warms. Overall a pretty solid beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with huge lasting cramy white head. Aroma is loads of Belgian yeast. Both spicy and very estery. Some ripe fruites, but some alcohol. Taste is sweet and yeasty. Creamy carbonation, medium body and long spicy finish. Sadly there is a present warming alcohol on the back tongue.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Art in a bottle! A broad range of fruity character here with a nice spicy edge to it. Hops present in character of this beer. Alcohol is present but well integrated. Always a pleasure, this one!

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Best abbey tripel IMO. Poors hazy with a golden-orange colour. White head. Lovely aroma of hops, spicy and citrus. Beautiful complex, but perfectly balanced taste: spicy, sweet malts, plum, raison, orange, cream. Dry subtle bitterness - alcohol perfectly hidden. - Worldclass tripel

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2014 0,33 l bottle from Westmalle chalice at "De Pannekoekenbakker" in Maaseik, B. Clear yellow-golden with white head which fades quickly. Spicy aroma of banana and vanilla. Fruity taste of banana, vanilla, caramel and lemon. Creamy mouthfeel, low carbonation, medium-bodied. Nice hoppy aftertaste. Overall a really nice beer which is amongst the best in its style. I still prefer the Dubbel.
