COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong, dry and spicy trappist ale. The product of a secondary fermentation lasting 5 weeks. This is a complex ale with a fruity aroma and a nice nuanced hop scent. It is soft and creamy in the mouth, with a bitter touch carried by the fruity aroma. An exceptional ale, with a great deal of finesse and elegance, and with a splendid long after taste.

Pours light golden colour with dense foamy head. Funky trappist aroma. Soft creamy mouth feel combines with caramel, honey and vanilla as well as a sweet malt undertone. Long finish during which the subtle trappist funk returns. Subtle and light for a trappist but delicious.

Copper colored with a nice frothy head renewed by streams of carbonation. The body starts off rather dank, but after aeration, it blows forth a profusion of esters and stone fruits, such as strawberry essence, with some stale bread crust in the background. A yeast saturated body replete with esters, some bread crust, and stone fruit. A liquid yeast and sourdough finish, with notes of unripe banana skin and apple.. Definitely improves with aeration and warming.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2016 Cloudy yellow with nice white top. High carbonation, very nice in alcohol, complex but well balanced. Full body. Citrus and pepper, very interesting and so natural. High class. This beer undergoes a secondary fermentation in the bottle. The current formula has stayed practically unchanged since 1956, thus more than 50 years.

Bottle @ Flamingobar Ulvenhout. Smell is quite light and doesn’t give too much away but is somewhat fruity. Looks light hazy with a medium white head. Taste gives fruits with some yeast and hops and is overall quite light for the type of beer. Overall, a very solid beer I really enjoyed drinking on a sunny day like this.

Appearance: Straw colour with 2 finger head. Aroma: Banana, clove, sweet candi sugar and alcohol Taste: Clove, earthy, dry, alcohol. Overall: The triple that started it all, great beer that could do with a little age to remove the ethyl acetate left over from fermentation.

Bottle. Golden grain bright color, hazy liquid with a lot of sedimentation, white foamy head. Banana smell. Aroma of banana, alcohol, cherry liquor (griotte). Good, but alcohol should be less intense in my opinion.

Cloudy yellow. Moderate white head. OK retention. Nose of fruity & spicy yeast. Apples, pears, phenols. Medium body. Oily. The flavour is dry. Very fruity. Lots of apples. Belgian yeast. Proper amount of hops. Hoppy & yeasty finish. Outstanding.

Bouteille datant du 10 août 2015, elle s’impose peu au nez et nous dévoile sa douceur au goût, le tout rendant cette bière hautement appréciable.
