4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
First review may as well be about my favorite beer. Thick, rich, malty and delicious.
Huge dark fruit aromas
Can be a little murky, but is normally lustrous deep amber/brown
Big burst of malty sweetness and fruity esters that linger and morph during the course of the sip.
Full body and light carbonation.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cloudy, golden color with a creamy, thick head. Nothing unique in the aroma, typical (or maybe this one sets the standard) for Belgian Tripels. Personally, I thought the alcohol came across stronger than the 9.5% stated but it was still smooth and balanced. Viscosity was a bit thicker leaving an obvious coating on the roof of my mouth. It didn’t last long and the aftertaste was earthy and a bit fruity. I love Belgian Tripels so it is rare that I can score one average or lower.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma: vanilla, caramel malts, some yeasts. Appearance: light gold, medium white head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: sweets continue, very light bitters appear towards the long dry finish. Overall: OK Abbey Triple, could be more pronounced in taste an palate. Bottle at the Dovetail, London.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a hazy golden color with big active head. Retention is very good and lacing is excellent.
Sweeter than I expected, I get caramel and dried apricots with peppercorn and spicy phenols. The beer remains fairly dry, but maintains a sweetness that is great for the style.
A great tripel. A nice sweetness with great spiciness that remains balanced and complex.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
One of my favourite beers. Strong taste, not for everyone as it has a bitter after taste, and also high alcohol %. Very good beer.

Bottle. Hazy yellow with big, nice head. Aroma is orange peel, lemon, spices, honey with hints of dough. Ligth, perfumy alcohol note. Rahter dry with some light sweetness and bitter finish. Finish is a bit phenolic with some refreshing sourness.. Nice aftertaste with notes of spices. Body medium-low. Nice, warming alcohol. Drinkable, rich, aromatic tripel. Very good beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted from bottle. Pours a hazy light yellow with thick rocky white head. Aroma is sweet with citrus and tropical fruit, spices, and perfume. Taste is a very nice balance of sweetness and bitter hops. Flavors of banana, belgian yeast and spices. Smooth well carbonated with clingy sweet mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Excellent tripel.
