Bottle at the Beerhive.
This is the triple that set the standards for triples. I expected it to be more complex. I got notes of bananas, floral, spices, lots of malty sweetness. A good beer but I have had better Triples.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DeliriumT (47) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 30, 2011
Malty and syrupy on the nose ad pours cloudy amber. The first sip is impossibly smooth but if you take a generous mouthful of this beer you’ll realize that this is one of the few amber beers that tastes great on the back of the palate. Fill your mouth with this beer and you’ll taste the spicy and bitey carbonation on the tip of your tongue, the malts and sugars (caramels and toffees) on the sides, the refreshing bitterness at the back and another heavy dose of malt as you send it down your throat. A really great Belgian beer that only needs a bit more colour and dark candi syrup to be truly outstanding
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 wedgie9 (1370) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 28, 2011
Tasted on 12/28/11 from a 330mL bottle (thanks to Jane), best before 29/06/13. Pours a hazy honey golden with a very thick and rocky white head that slowly recedes to rocky lace. The nose is dry and spicy with dried citrus peel, resin bitterness, floral grass, and very dry bread and cereal malt. The flavor is very dry, with a hint of caramel malt in addition to the bread and cereal, and the citrus hops presenting as fresh citrus fruit in addition to the floral grass, resin bitter, and dried citrus. The body is full and oily with lively carbonation and a long spicy citrus hops finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 stefannilssons (226) - SWEDEN - DEC 19, 2011
Det här är inte en favorit, smaken är lite för tam och alkoholen känns lite för mycket. Slutsats: lite av en besvikelse, jag hade förväntat mig mer.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 RickTStiles (504) - Rochester, New York, USA - DEC 18, 2011
pours hazy yellow with a lasting white head and lots of lacing. aroma has notes of lemon, yeast and coriander with an overall soapiness. taste is complex with bitter sweet citrus (lemon primarily), coriander, soap, some herbs, and more hop presence than one would expect from a trappist ale. finish is dry. a fine tripel, well balanced and warming. the high abv is well hidden.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kryon (150) - SWEDEN - DEC 17, 2011
Slightly better than the chimay tripel. Has a slightly better palate and ending but doesn’t reach the top according to my preferences.
