Bottle from LCBO. Dark yellow with very nice and lasting head. In fact, the creamy head blocks some of the nose…particularly when I inhaled the white frost up my nasal passage by accident. Still, I smelled a slight floral waft, maybe a little lemon. Taste suffers a little from the hot alcohol vapors. Very nice malt taste, honey, faint banana and other fruits. Yet, amongst this heavy malt, it somehow finishes like a pilsner.

Pours golden with some yeast particles floating around. It has a gigantic frothy snow white head with tremendous staying power. It’s fun to watch it crater as it slowly collapses. The aroma has strong notes of yeast, cardboard, fruit basket, and milder notes of hops. The flavor is surprisingly dry with lots of citrus and orange zest, yeast, pepper, cardboard, banana, peach and grainy malts before a citrus peel bitter finish. A nice complex tripel. The alcohol is noticeable, but not so much for a 9.5% brew. I really enjoyed this one.

Bottle 33cl. Yellow beer lightly cloudy with good carbonation and nice creamy white head. Smell is on agrume and typical Trappist yeast. Aroma is intense on malt, bread, cereals, typical wheat malt astringence, nice hops flavor, notes of vanilla. Quite sweet very creamy long and nice bitterness at the finish, one of the Triple ever.

11.2oz bottle. I’m not a big Tripel fan. This is one of the best beers ever. The definitive Tripel in my opinion. Thick yeast golden-orange. Steady fluffy head lingers and lingers. Sweet, sugary, doughy aroma..gets a 10 just because it is so clean. Hides and incorporates the alcohol exquisitely. Yeasty, spicy peppery tones. Subdued but steady noble hop character. Creamy and smooth. The best Tripel imaginable.

Pours a cloudy gold with a lacy, white, foamy head. The aroma is spicy. The taste is somewhat dry and spicy, with alcohol notes present as well. The spice tastes remain as part of the aftertaste.
