Incredible suspension of yeast. It smells kind of like an orange sweet roll. The flavor is remarkably balanced. Nothing standing out, with a mild bitter finish, but still sweat. Kind of a syrupy palate with soft carb. It’s good. joshuabarclay (21), Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a trappist glass. Nose was dry and sweet. Not a whole lot of head on this at all, so I guess I must have poured it wrong. What little head there was still left really nice legs throughout. Taste was sweet, apple-y and overall not very unique. Tastes like any other classy white to me. Not to say it’s bad! I liked it very much. Pretty carbonated sharp mouthfeel. Still, it needs a little something more to it. doppelmeup (51), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

Poured from a 750 ml bottle into a snifter.
Inch tall, foamy head with great lacing. Beautiful golden color.
Aroma was not overpowering; nicely balanced, yeasty, apples, pears.
Perfect taste. Perfectly balanced hops, yeast and malt. Nothing overpowering, but everything balanced. High ABV well hidden.
Light carbonation, not too thick. Clean palate and no aftertaste.
This is one of the best beers I’ve ever had!!! I would give it a 5 for drinkability, however the high ABV would sneak up on you.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Cloudy golden color with lots of yeast. Spicy bready aroma. Flavor is the same. Bit of alcohol comes through at the end. Overall a very nice belgian ale although not quite on the level of some others. tomciccateri (496), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA

Very soft mouthfeel, early slight hop bitterness followed by dry dark malty flavors. Brouwser (119), gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 21, 2008 De mémoire.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2008 Very soft and drinkable. Subtle and well-balanced spicing, very well hidden alcohol. Drink no colder than cool, I enjoyed it more even above their recommended temp. hillfiiiiire (284), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 18, 2008 Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy white head. Doughy and yeasty in the aroma with a presence of spices. Flavor is excellent. The spices and alcohol combine to just give this burn. It’s quite sugary-sweet. Finishes extra dry with lots of carbonation. Quite tasty brew and will buy again.
