Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy white head. Doughy and yeasty in the aroma with a presence of spices. Flavor is excellent. The spices and alcohol combine to just give this burn. It’s quite sugary-sweet. Finishes extra dry with lots of carbonation. Quite tasty brew and will buy again.

Thin frothy head, the spice does come through. A mild alcohol flavour, slightly bitter.

Hazy orange/yellow with a white head and lots of suspended sediment. Medium body and carb. Frothy mouth feel. Malty, with citrus and a wee bit spicy. Alcohol shines through. Slightly dry finish.

Cloudy orange yellow with big chunks of sediment and a thin slightly off-white head. Some lacing. Medium bodied with fairly average carbonation. Moderately bitter. Spicy and malty. Alcohol comes through in the flavour and the nice dry finish. 330ml bottle.

This one poured a golden orange color with medium sized foamy white head that left swirly lacing around the glass. The aroma was of oranges, citrus fruit, spices, candy sugar, and a hint of alcohol. The taste was much the same with the citrus fruit and candy sugar sweetness coming forward and then balanced out with the spices. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and almost creamy with a sweet boozy finish to it. You could tell this one was strong from the beginning, but the alcohol just added to the sweetness. This was a really well done tripel.

Bottle. Pours hazy blonde with a thick white head but it doesn’t last very long. Aroma is fruity, sharp & spicy. Maybe a bit yeasty and it will probably depend on how much yeast you leave on the bottom. It’s very drinkable and has a dry bitter aftertaste. The warmer you drink it, the warmer it will leave your throath behind after every sip. Carbonation is average and the aroma is not very complex. Just had a piraat before this and would prefer the piraat even thought they are quite different.

Pours a peach, orange, perhaps I could call it grapefruit color. Moderate head that tapers off pretty quickly. About a quarter of the way through just a patchy head remains that does produce some lacing. The aroma is pleasant consisting of fruits, some of the sweeter one’s such as oranges and some nice yeast. Semi tangy citrus flavor, yeasty and extremely easy drinking. There’s almost a clean watery note mixed in with the fruits. Nice amount of flavor but I’m looking for just a little more. Perhaps I’m being picky as I recently sampled various brews from St. Bernardus, Chimay and Rochefort but this one does carry the same price tag. I would never have known there was 9.2% alcohol in there if I didn’t look at the bottle. Quite refreshing too but if you’re drinking this you aren’t looking for something to slug down while sitting in the sun. As the beer warms it becomes a little more spicy with a sour grapefruit flavor and a banana note I didn’t detect earlier but still, I can hardly taste the alcohol. This is a great beer but it didn’t wow me.

Bottle. Pours hazy rich straw with white head. Nice spicy fruit aroma with good yeast. Spicy, slightly sweet flavor. Very good tripel.
