Bottle 330ml. Wonderful beer. Aromas of spice, bread, and alcohol. Taste has bitter and sweet notes, and long length. Palate is sirupy, and full bodied. Yellow, with particles, and a frothy white head.

Grumlig (även om man lämnar mycket kvar i flaskan) - pissgul. Maräng färgat skum.
Doft: fräsch, jäst, citrus.
Smak: dito
Bottensats: smakar dito, fast sötare
Belgarna säger att man inte bör starta med en trippel - den är lite för alkoholstark.

Sampled at Bistro L’Autre Oeil in Aylmer, Quebec in good company of S8n. Pours golden honey beige-white colour with a fizzy-bubble white head. Definitely not as creamy looking as the Chimay Tripel (white cap) S8n is having. Very good retention though, and medium lacing. Tiny bubbles form the carbonation, fizzing away only at certain point on the side of the glass (not at the bottom). The aroma is creamy and reminds me of fresh milk out of a cow’s tit. Hints of fruit (citrus) and spices show up in the background. The taste is heavy on alcohol, but without the burn. Also in the background, dark spices are found. Some bitter citrus shape up the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is slightly syrupy, but smooth overall. Nice tripel, but much prefer the Chimay one.

Bottled, tnx Andi :). Color is dark hazy orange with huge foamy head and layered lacing. Leaves lacing. Aroma is yeasty and fruity. Flavour is very complex, sweet, spicey (very!) and yeasty bitter. Alcoholic comes through slightly but not dominating despite the 9.5% Very nicely composed beer with a perfect aftertaste.

At first I thought I stuffed the pour, the head on this beer is enormous! Long lasting fluffy white foam. Beer is a golden colour, slightly hazy. Fruity aroma, although the head does mean it is quite hard to detect. At first taste I was quite overwhelmed by the alcohol, but after settling this beer does have a very pleasant, dry flavour. After taste hangs around for a bit. Quality beer.

Aromas of bread dough, citrus, and an earthy sweetness. Appearance is a light lager like golden color with a thick foamy head that thins out to a pleasant sticky mess that leaves lacing rings on the glass. Tastes like honey and apples with a yeasty spice in the somewhat dry bitter finish.

33cl bottle, at Abbey. I too prefer the 75cl dubbel but it was a very interesting tripel, especially because it is not too spicy or sweet, just in subtilities. Very lemony with an obvious hop presence. Dry finish and pretty long aftertaste. I’m not a fan of the style but I enjoyed this one.
