ubamartian (155), Watertown, Wisconsin, USA Nov 1, 2007 330ml bottle. Pours cloudy golden with a hint of soft brown. Good size white head that dissipates not too fast but not too slow. Mild lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit and subdued flowery hops and light malts. First sip is lightly fruity with the hops coming through more strongly. The finish is a combination of fruit, hops and malt, with an overtone of alchohol. The feeling is almsot silky, but a bit more on the watery side, with a slight tingle of carbonation. This is a great trappist. petzdrgonizbk (24), Tennessee, USA Nov 1, 2007 A nice beer at room temp. Poured a somewhat dark amber, with a slight smell of raisins, and a cream colored head. The taste was smooth with a nice alccohol kick that seemed to develop in the back of my mouth. I would like to try it cold!! heavy (815), Split, Croatia Oct 31, 2007 0.33 l bottle. Poured murky yellow body with big creamy white head going down slowly. Aroma of some lightly sour fruits, yeasty. Flavor really nice, bitter but balanced with that fruity sweetness, full bodied, really what I could expect from a triple. Lightly carbonated, with oily texture. Finish is sweet, pleasant, can’t say at all that alcohol is felt although this is not really small ABV. Fantastic beer. milewide (609), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Oct 31, 2007 Cloudy straw color. Medium head. Strong alcohol in taste along with spice and fruit. Solid body. BEEJE26 (40), Ontario, Canada Oct 29, 2007 A strong delicious blend of caramel and fruit flavours, spiced, with a full flavour. Traces of yeast are certainly present as well. A orangy-amber colour, good body. Quite exquisite. bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA Oct 21, 2007 750 ml bottle. Aroma of light stone fruit, yeast and caramel. Dark orange/amber/gold color with a white head that didn’t persist. Medium body with sllightly fizzy carbonation. Caramel, heat, golden fruits. All that fades to a slightly roasted malt accompanied by alcohol. The spice may be there, but it’s hard to pick out any particular one. The finish is dry, goes a bit acidic and there’s a woody bitterness. Interesting, but it’s not head above many others. bombshelter (349), Washington, Washington DC, USA Oct 21, 2007 Bottle at the cafe across the street from the brewery. Slightly cloudy gold, white lacing into a film. Aroma is estery fruit, notes of booze. Medium body, lots of bready malt up front, fades into a very dry finish that betrays the alcohol content. Very very good, but not the revelatory experience I was hoping for. uhre (339), Denmark Oct 20, 2007 It pours a nice white head which last for a very long time - it’s as thick as whipcream! The aroma has yeast, and a sour thing which I couldn’t figure out what was you can also sense the alcohol. It has a golden colour. The flavor is yeasty, with a bitter aftertaste but the rest is sweet with tones of banana in the end it turns sour in a way. It’s good way - I know sour might sound negative, but it’s actually ment in a good way.
