3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Calvin52 (6) - Houston, Texas, USA - OCT 22, 2011 does not count
Bottle into snifter.
The aroma of this bottle fell a little flat. The head really died quickly and didn’t present a solid smell for very long. The odor has a bit of a bite but is not bold.
The appearance in the glass is very even hazy gold. There is almost no head after the initial pour. Looks good but isn’t astounding.
There is sweetness in this triple but the flavor, overall, is short lived. Bitterness seems to linger but not strongly. Initial flavor is good but not as full as expected.
The only thing that really strikes me on the palate is the carbonation. It’s quite fizzy. The texture is thin with a light to medium body. The finish is abrupt with not a lot of lingering texture in the mouth.
Overall a tasty beer but it really lacks legs. Seeing as how it is a triple, it kind of left me wanting for flavor.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 welho (59) - FINLAND - OCT 21, 2011
33 cl, bottled. Pours quite clear with small white had. Yellow golden color. Aroma has floral hops and but not noticeable alcohol in it. Lively carbonation and bit biter finish. Not bad but not my favorite either.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 Swaroga (255) - Brussels, BELGIUM - OCT 15, 2011
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2012 33cl bottle. Hazy yellow/green with a big white head. When it goes down, it leaves stains. Nose : Peach and bubblegum like notes. Yeast and banana. Sip : Fluffy. Sweet. Spicy with a banana all around. it ends a bit sour. Nice. Sour taste makes this sweetness and fruitiness calm down and let the beer freshness appear. On the end we get one of the most amazing blend of noble hops. The hops stays there even in aftertaste. When it comes to high alcohol , it’s well hidden. This is a kind of pale beer you want after your hard day of work.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Dermi (224) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 13, 2011
33 cl, bottled. Pours clear, slightly cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma: Sweet tropical fruits, malt, hops. Taste: Sweet, balanced bitterness. Slight citric sourness. Fruits and malt. Citrus. Palate: Medium body, creamy. Above average carbonation. Sweet citric aftertaste. Very pleasant.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 ABS (142) - NORWAY - OCT 13, 2011
Pours clouded, orange-tinted yellow. Quite lively, white head. Most of it disappears quickly, but about 5 mm lingers on. Yeast, wheat and apple nose. Also some candy and alcohol. Apple, wheat, candy and alcohol aromas. Highly carbonated, and heavy feel, most likely because of the alcohol. Good beer, even though I sense I’m not the biggest fan of tripels.
3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 9/20 BErnd (5) - antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 13, 2011 does not count
For me this is the 2nd best beer I have ever tasted till now. I am happy to live close to the abbey where it is brewed.
The taste is quite bitter but with lots of spices in the nose and taste. Very good to compare with strong flavoured fish dishes.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 marcot (771) - Campomorone, ITALY - OCT 10, 2011
Nonostante sia un grande amante delle tripel, questa non mi fa impazzire...è veramente troppo alcoolica. Dopo questa bestemmia posso anche andarmene :-)
