Bright hazy yellow, huge head. Smells complex, herbs, sweet spices, candied oranges, bready, dried fruits, big body. Flavours did a dance on the tongue, all over the place. Candy like, orange, cinnamon, apple. Beautiful balance, strong bitter finish. Just lovely.

Straw / slightly amber. Fine-large bubble head, retained. Very fruity aroma with nice complexity. Alcohol is there. Too much for me. Especially the dry after taste. Hop is somewhat nice. Thin - medium body. Fresh. Not for me. Much to alcoholic. Purchased in Barley Wine.

delicious pour of fruity blonde brew with a perched head of ruffles that linger atop. aroma is intense lemony yeast, quite saison like and very fresh. flavor is peppery with more lemon and plenty of yeast. palate is dry due to the yeast, oh so zippy.

Nice and thick and hazy yellow color. Aroma is complex. Has a slight citrus scent. Very carbonated brew. Taste is full of fruits and spices. Has a very nice and smooth aftertaste. I’m going to take my time and enjoy this one.

Top ratings for what is and has been my favourite beer for almost more than 20 years now. You can discuss about all kinds of criterias but at the end there is only one thing that counts : personal taste.

Presentation: It was poured from an 11.2oz brown bottle into a goblet. A best before date is printed on the back of the bottle. Appearance: The body has slightly hazy appearance with a bright golden yellow color. Also there is some nice visible carbonation and lots of little bits of floating yeast in the body. On top sits a tall, stiff, white head that has great retention and make lots of slick lacing that coats the glass before slowly sliding down the sides of the glass. Smell: The nose is full of fruity and funky yeast, sweet malt and fresh wet hay. Taste/Mouth Feel: There is mild sweetness from the malt and fruity/funky yeast. There are notes of apple, pineapple, golden raisin and lemon zest that are wrapped up in a mild warming alcohol. Hops are very light and the finish gets slightly tart and dry with just a hint of hop bitterness. The body is about medium to full with a smooth rounded feel and the carbonation is in perfect balance to cleanse the palate for the next sip. Notes: This is one of the finest beers that I have had in my opinion, and worthy of a perfect score as I can’t find anything to improve on except for maybe the yeast sediment in the appearance but I like the yeast in Trappist beers.

Beautiful tripel, golden pour and frothy head white head. Aromas of bread dough (grains, flour and a bit of acidity) flavor: still bread dough citrus like acidity (lemon) and apple. Nice dry finish all the hops are here floral & fruity.

Pours clear golden, a little bit of sediment, with a huge creamy three-finger head, great lasting lacing. Very fruity aroma: citrus, pineapple, green grape, and caramel. Medium bodied, well-carbonated, tart. Flavors of lemon, spice, gingerbread, sour apple, raisin, lightly dry and bitter finish, floral and grassy. Definition of the style.
