4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2012 Bottle says best before October 06 2013 thus it was one year old. Deep orange hazy gold with a thick puffy white lasting head. Smells full of citrus fruit and mango, malt and a deep cookie under all that alcohol. I hope with some more ageing that will fade. Some spices, like ginger and hay. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Tastes of malt and spice with alcohol tummy warming. A nice earthiness makes it more of a sipping experience. Apples, raisin, some lemon. The finish is dry with some hops lingering. Nice and complex. Delicious after it aged. Want more.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Does drink every bit as strong as its ABV suggest. Spicy on the tip of the tongue from alcohol strength. Bottle conditioned so keep upright if you’re not a yeast eater. Distinctively Belgian.

It pours pale, with a soft balanced white head which remains for long. Also, it smells citric and sweet, with a nice soft taste. Good trappist.

Ibeer with a fruity smell and a beautiful, nuanced hop scent. It is soft and creamy in the mouth, with a bitter touch carried by the fruit aroma. An exceptional beer, with lots of finesse and elegance. And with a lovely long finish.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JAN 28, 2015 Smell of lemon and honey (8/10), deep golden colour with LOT of foam (4/5), Strong taste, bitter (8/10), strong body, with a bitter creamy ending (4/5). Even if the whole story about the Trappists beers can probably affect my judgment, it is a fantastic beer, those monks know what they’re doing.

Bardzo przyjemny s?odowo kwiatowy aromat. Mocno nagazowane co przykrywa alkohol. Po ogrzaniu do g?osu dochodz? nuty typowo belgijskie.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Served in a trappist glass. Yellow with a big persistent white head. Aroma is yeast, syrup, bubblegum, bananas, peaches and apricot. Taste is yeast, strong alcohol presence, peaches, bananas, bubblegum and bread. Sweet, spicy and alcoholic finish, with a strange resinous bitterness. I expected more for this one...
