A strong, dry and spicy trappist ale. The product of a secondary fermentation lasting 5 weeks. This is a complex ale with a fruity aroma and a nice nuanced hop scent. It is soft and creamy in the mouth, with a bitter touch carried by the fruity aroma. An exceptional ale, with a great deal of finesse and elegance, and with a splendid long after taste.

Hazy amber gold with big fluffy head that sticks around and leaves nice lace. Perhaps as a result, the aroma is not pronounced, with grain and yeast predominating. Up front bitterness relaxes into nice balance of bitter, yeast, sweet, bready and slight banana notes. Each take their solos without competing. Slight alcohol heat and bitterness returns for lingering finish. Medium body with creaminess. This is how to showcase hops as bittering agents balanced with the other elements, not to beat your palate into submission. US brewers could learn a lot.

Bottle - very hazy golden with a large clean rocky white head which lasts a good while. Good lacing. Aroma of cloves, yeast, lemon and orange. Taste of marzipan, clove, yeast and hay with a little earth and bitterness in the finish. Some light sourness to complement. Medium body, low carbonation.

Mijn favoriete tripel. Smaken perfect in balans : lichtzoete toetsen met perfect bittere afdronk. Bijhorend glas is het perfecte trappistenglas.

Bottle. Pours cloudy golden with generous head. Aroma of yellow fruits, cereal and a bit grassy. Taste is more of the same, but really well balanced, exquisite.

Hazy golden, big white fluffy head dissipates slowly leaving lots of lacings. Full aroma of grains, bread, yeast, slight sweetness. Taste is medium bitter with a perfect balance between yeastiness, bitterness, sweetness, some gum and banana, slight alcohol touch. Lingering finish. Medium body, low carbo with sharp bubbles. In terms of availability, prize and quality, this is hard to beat.
