fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jan 16, 2003 Aged 3 years Hazy golden-brownish-amber color; beautiful lace. Malty, lightly fruity aroma; flowery hop, developing in a wonderful way as the beer gets warmer in the glass; light, fragrant bread. Delicate and complex. Full body, smooth, warming, a bit alcoholic; not syrupy but almost sweetish Tripel, with a lot of malt, light fudge; harmonious. Very good, classic final, with fine old hops; equilibrated, persistent. A wonderful example of Tripel.

Plenty of green grapes, mild yeast, and anise on the nose which carry into the flavor. More watery than I prefer, but a fine Tripel. PaulHegedus (68), Brampton, Ontario, Canada Sep 4, 2008 Bottle. This pours a light golden colour with a large, energetic head. Aromas of apple, grape, yeast, a bit of orange. Tastes strongly of alcohol, with fruit, apple, citrus. hellbilly (865), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Sep 3, 2008 bb 1/22/10... pours somewhat viscous a cloudy golden color with lots of floaters evident. super long lasting airy/wispy/soapy off white head. pillowy foam coats the inside of the glass as the head eventually recedes. really yeasty aroma with notes of black pepper spiciness, canned pear/fruity?, soap/flowers and a hint of some skunk. lots of yeast in the flavor as well as pears, dried grass and herbs, mild caramel and a skunky hop finish. spiciness comes on strong toward the end as the abv% warms up the belly. medium body. nice and dry on the palate. soft airy carbonation makes it velvety and smooth...
