Bottle into a fluted glass. Pours dark amber with a big pillow of cream head. Aroma of candi sugar, plums, raisins, spice, a bit vegetal. Taste is big on the dark fruits and sugar. Definitely a sipper. Nice and warming.

Pours slightly hazy golden with a massive fluffy head that has superb retention. Smell of sweet caramel and malts, yeasty banana, spices, citrus and honey. Taste starts sweet and earthy, bitter builds up into an extremely long aftertaste. In the meantime, the fruits, citrus, spices and yeast make an appearance. Strong carbonation. Aftertaste is dry, bitter and long. Well balanced. Brilliant trappist beer.

Thank you Bert! Pours cloudy lemon yellow with a perfect white head of soft foam. Excellent retention and handsome lace. This beer glowed in the glass and was perfect to look at. Nose is banana, apricot, bubblegum, pale malt, lightly yeasty, complex and layered. Slightly medicinal. Some floral and hay. Perfumey with honey and light biscuit. There’s a quick breath of orange peel and a just enough spice. Taste follows the nose all the way. Buoyant on the palate, vivacious, balanced, supple and creamy. There’s a little clove on the palate that wasn’t on the nose as much. Finishes dry and slightly sticky.
This beer is outstanding, cultivated and refined. It’s not assuming but it is assured and significant in it’s robust character. A well done tripel like this is a sweet delight.

It is slightly different bitter, its Iceland Moss bitter that goes in boiling water to make tea against symptoms for cough. Alcohol doesn’t bite, slighty sweet plum or white grapes taste as is the smell but the bitterness really hangs on to every tastebud, it is ok at the beginning, nicer at the end if moss-tea is Your thing.

Blonde claire, pétillance aussi fine que sa mousse. Epicée, florale, un rien fruitée, pétillance persistante, légère astringence sur la fin. Un peu trop de goût d’alcool...

33 cl bottle. Hazy yellow with a huge white head. Spiced, slight acidic and yeasty aroma. Taste has caramel, malts and yeast. One of the better tripels out there.

Very golden and light colored with a very foamy white head. Smells like dark fruits. Taste follows the smell. Very citrus, dark fruit, and light malt. Can’t believe how deceiving the color is from how full the body is. Unbelievable beer, highly recommended, again hats off to the monks

Al naso non esalta come altre triple ma in bocca ha una complessitá eccezionale rimanendo comunque equilibrata. Sentori di pane, erbacea, finale gradevolmente alcolico. Unica.

Excellent Trippel......goes surprisingly well with many foods! Given its’ 9.5% strength, this is very much a sipping beer. Complex and full of flavours, difficult to pin down. Some Belgian restaurants will serve this as an alternative to wine with a meal, a role it performs admirably, as it keeps flavour well in the glass. Be sure to acquire the matching glass.....one of the very best!!
