[bottle in South Africa] Hazy gold with pristine foamy head that’s like a fog cover, the bubbles are so fine. Sour citrus, vanilla, candy, coconut, and some perceptible hops are all detectable in the aroma. The flavour is spicy and sweet with subtle banana and peach notes and bitterness that I don’t think comes from hops. Higher alcohol and "buttery" flavour that ends with a well-balanced hop bitterness. Interestingly, this beer does not feel warm, despite the high alcohol flavour and the high alcohol percentage. The body is medium to full and the carbonation is substantial. This beer is very good.

Really nice tripel. I appreciate the alcohol being fairly upfront without being hot.

(on bottle)First of all, the ale gets my wife drunk after one bottle; every time. Great ale allready here. Has a very fresh alcoholic, fruity nose to it. One can reallt sent the 9%. Fruits follow in the taste, not much malt in it, has some sweet ´n ´sour vinegar notes. Ends with lots of warmth from the alcohol. RERATING Ølfest.´07: 1999-2000 brew Big on the sediment in the bottle. Semiyellow, white head. Stil high carbonated, very sweet, almost cloying and gets both too alcoholic and sweet in finish too.

bb 1/22/10... pours somewhat viscous a cloudy golden color with lots of floaters evident. super long lasting airy/wispy/soapy off white head. pillowy foam coats the inside of the glass as the head eventually recedes. really yeasty aroma with notes of black pepper spiciness, canned pear/fruity?, soap/flowers and a hint of some skunk. lots of yeast in the flavor as well as pears, dried grass and herbs, mild caramel and a skunky hop finish. spiciness comes on strong toward the end as the abv% warms up the belly. medium body. nice and dry on the palate. soft airy carbonation makes it velvety and smooth...

Cloudy golden in color, nice fluffly white head that laced around the glass, lots of bitterness in the flavors, full in body, nose full of alcohol, fruity tones to the flavors, spicy finish, excellent tripel

Bottle. Massive white head covers a straw colored body that is a little cloudy. Aromas: apples, cloves, yeast, bread, a little citrus, etc. It’s not an overpowering nose, but there’s a lot going on. Lots of spice in the finish is the first comment. Coriander and cloves take the show. There is a bit of a sweet sugar baby note up front. There are moments when I think that it comes off as a bit watery, but then that banana clove finish picks up and all my concerns are gone.

(Bottle, 0.75 l bottled 240408, at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, on 2008-09-27) Orange. Cloudy. Medium sized quickly disappearing white head. Citric aromas, yeast and some tiny hints of banana in very fruity nose. Medium bodied palate with quite lot of carbonation. Fruitiness, bitterness, grapefruit, malts and some salty liquorice. Long lasting fruity aftertaste.
