Pours a cloudy light orange with a huge, thick, foamy white head that leaves nice lacing on a Westmalle glass. Aroma of spcies (particularly clove), lemon/citrus zest, and the typical tripel skunk. Tastes like...a tripel! Lots of Belgian yeast and spices, maybe some cinnamon. As the beer warms some light fruits (especially apple) come out, but you really have to search for it. Mostly the beer is dominated by spices. Pretty drinkable as the 9.5% isn’t noticed in the flavor or palate. Probably my favorite tripel, although this style is one of my least favorite. Goût fort mais pas trop imposante, un peu fruité et épicé. Très bon! Cavie (1521), Fort Worth, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 26, 2008 Orange/yellow pour with some big bubbles and a great creamy thick off-white head. Lots of yeast and some orange zest in the aroma. Sugary and robust, orange peel bitter, tangy yeast. Somewhat one-dimensional for a triple, odd woody burnt bitter aftertaste. Tastes like theres some potato vodka in it, the alcohol is showing through. Palate is really nice, its completely different, has a whipped texture to it. DSG (1515), Tel Aviv, Israel

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 19, 2007 Poured a hazy golden color with a huge frothy white head that one would expect from a Belgium. Aroma was yeasty. This beer had a full mouth feel but was very drinkable. Good but not great. Finn (1510), Tromsø, Norway
