JF_GRIND (1205), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 22, 2007 750 ml bottle; golden unfiltered body, thick cream foam top, and a spicy flavor. Overall a solid Belgian Tripel, but I agree with other raters, the alcohol is much morte evident as the Tripel warms.
TeamTrappist (134), jericho, New York, USA Aug 18, 2008 11.2 oz bottle which poured a cloudy blond. The nose was on the mild side, some fruit and yeast were evident. Nicely carbonated beer, with a mild flavor and a long dry somewhat peppery finish 1_2many (194), Ohio, USA Aug 15, 2008 Bottle. Yellowish golden that is semi-hazy with a nice white head. I can tell this has a lot of carbonation already. Aroma of belgian yeast with some sweet light fruit. Lots of fizzy carbonation yet very smooth and drinkable. Good stuff. boFNjackson (502), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 13, 2008 Beer 500 for me; bottle... Poured a hazy orange with a thick white head that lasted throughout the whole drink. Aroma was bread like with a nice alcohol presence and fruity esters. Palate was pretty wild that started off mellow and then attacked the tongue towards the finish. Flavors of complex citrus like spices with yeast, alcohol and some tangy hops in the background. Pyobon (137), Sydney, Australia Aug 10, 2008 Bottle. Hazy golden straw colour with slight white head. Excellent aroma; complex and hard to define but combines a sweet fruitness with some hints of bread, hops and spices. Full bodied with excellent carbonation giving a frothy / mousse feeling on the tongue. Excellent and complex flavour. Starts with sweetish caramel malt and soem refreshing fruity tastes and quickly develops into a much richer set of flavours (including dark chocolate and spices) with a long rich and somewhat bitter finish. An excellent beer, but not one for every day. kennydiaz (47), staten island, New York, USA Aug 10, 2008 A VERY GOOD TRIPLE HAS A VERY COMPLEX TASTE. I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE AND ITS $8.99 PRICE TAG FOR A 750 MILLILITER MAKE IT A GREAT BARGAIN.
