| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Mar 15, 2006 Updated: Jun 7, 2007Ths brew pours a tawny yellow color w/ a tall creamy froth. Superb head retention w/ a lasting latherous lace. Small Champagne bubbles persist the full duration. Aromas of aged citrus and candy. Medium full nectar w/ ample residual effers. The texture is that of creamy cotton. A slightly sweet style w/ a full malty backbone. Musty, citrusy sugar cubes and tropical tarts defines this one. Theres a mild peachpit bittering unit that starts midpalate and helps to balance it out. Finish is long and bittered w/ peachpit and some tangy kiwi. Alcohol is well hidden. Overall: a fantastic brew w/ good complexities. It hit’s the spot. Highly recommended. jhumphries69 (737), Tyrone, Georgia, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Aug 4, 2006 Very pale gold color with very thick billowing white head. The beer is quite cloudy, almost opaque. The aroma is very sweet but tinted with some noble hops and a grassy aroma. The flavor is sweet bready, doughy malt, and a mild earthy hop bitterness. Alcohol is not particularly perceptible. The aroma and flavor remind me of farmhouse/saison ales I’ve had recently. The finish is a little sweet. The mouthfeel is thick but bubbly (well carbonated). An excellent beer. Phatz (225), Paradise, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Sep 2, 2006 This is as good as they get. A true Tripel straight from Belgium! It is more light and fruity than I would have expected but so remarkably easy to drink.
Appearance: Pours an orange yellow peach color.
Smell: This beer was very aromatic; filling the nose with zesty lemon, toasty malty and other sweet fruits.
Taste: Soft and fruity on the palate but with a nice mix of lively spices. Very balanced very smooth, lemony hops and sweet malts just sing.
Mouthfeel: Light weight but full and creamy in the mouth.
Drinkability: I have yet to have a better experience with any Tripel.
Hope this is helpful.

Head lasts and nose is yeasty, sourdough bread. Flavor is incredibly complex: fruity (granny smith apple-like), some other fruit tones, closes spicy. Finish is bitter, but not too bitter. Beer drinks very smooth and alcohol content blends well - not very noticeable until after you have had more than 2. Stands up to food (cheese - note brie, apple). An excellent beer.
