4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
31/03/2011 - 33cl bottle @ home BB: FEB/2012 (2011-125)
Little clouded orange to light amber coloured beer. Creamy off-white head, stable and adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, spicy hops, even a bit sweet, spices. MF: soft gentle carbon, medium to full body, creamy soft texture. Taste: fruity, little sweet malts, bitter and fruity hops at the same time. Aftertaste: dry hops, citrus fruits, pineapple, and some spices. Very dry ending. Very good and correct beer, yet I miss the exciting Struise touch here. Maybe thatís why they didnít put their name on the bottle?

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A big thanks to Carlo and Urbain for letting me first try this back during Thanksgiving before it hit the shelves... The beer pours as a medium cloudy gold, hits of dark orange. A nice off white head leaves about two fingers, nice cap and lacing... This is a west coast tripel, yeast, floral notes, sweet, citrus with a hop finish. I like it, a touch sweet though... The taste reminds me of just a lighter triple, floral hops, and hops. Not as sweet now. Super easy to drink.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cL bottle, purchased at Bottle Barn. Pours a brightly colored, hazy copper-orange; significant and creamy, fine-bubbled off-white head with excellent retention and lacing; beautiful pour on this. White pepper, tangerines, and lime in the aroma, along with an engaging doughy yeastiness and a mild phenolic quality, sufficiently tempered; nicely balanced. Medium body; lively carbonation with a nice carbonic bite. Moderate levels of white pepper, dough, and an aspirin-like phenolic quality upfront, with more creaminess emerging mid-palate as the hit of CO2 dissipates; vibrant citrus (limes, tropical fruit) and floral hoppiness there as well, adding a nice core bitterness and plenty of bright flavors; a rather nice marriage between a bitter and tripel, and rather citrusy for the hop additions listed (some of that fruitiness possibly coming from the yeast). Overall, masterful and tasty. Lengthy finish, with some lingering dough, pepper, and lasting floral bitterness; nicely dry.

Floral hop aroma. Golden in color with a nice layer of white head. Dry blonde ale flavor with a nice floral hop component and slightly earthy finish. Definitely dry in taste with sublte but complex malt flavors.

A big hitter for 6%. Murky amber with a small head. Balanced flavour with a dry hop character and some restrained esters. Nicely assertive flavour, plenty of hops, well balanced by sweet caramel. The sweetness and the thick texture are reminiscent of honey.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. The aroma has a citric (orange, lemon) yeasty aroma. A bir hazy, yellow coloured beer with a lasting, white, large head. The taste is slightly bitter, a little sweet. It has some malts, oranges, some grass. Sparkling mouthfeel. More dry in the end. Nice.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home. Looks good, but a bit complex. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts strong, grasy-hoppy, fruity notes of lemon. Finish modest sourish, long lasting aftertaste. Nice!

On tap at Delirium Tap House. Cloudy golden, stable and creamy head. Herbal hop nose. Herbal hop flavours that are well-balanced by sugary maltiness. Interesting.
