Tap (from the bladder bag in the fridge) at De Struise shop, Brugge - 07/07/12. Light amber in colour with a medium white head. Slightly floral hop aroma, belgian yeast, caramel and malt. Fruit, yeast and a little background hops in the taste. Medium bodied a good rasp of carbonation.

Pours deep amber into a tulip. Off-white head with good retention recedes leaving scant sheets to coat surface. Sweet caramel and tart summer fruit aromas. Soft with caramel and bread upfront turning dry in the sour earthy finish.

Sample from tap @Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012 as ’Struise X’. Low white top. Body is hazy gold. Very clean, both in aroma and flavor. Nice hop profile, light lemony, floral and grassy. Mild fruit esters. Some fine bread tones, and a dry and light spiced finish.

Bottle in Bruges hotel room, picked at the Struise shop in town. Clear, dark orange appearance with a cream colored head and nice lacing. Quite floral, a bit musty, tangerine, a bit tangy, fairly spicy aroma. Somewhat bready, cracker, light citrusy, grainy, somewhat floral, quite grassy flavor. Bleh.

Mackan: lite ordinär belgisk Tutti frutti men även med en tydlig brett och lite sur/söt eftersmak. Inte jätte spännande. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: hazy golden pour with medium-sized white head. Aroma has a light malt sweetness with straw grass, citrus, and yeast notes. The flavor is yeasty bread with some hay, grass and light citrus. Palate starts lightly sweet spicy, with a thin body and ending with a dry finish. Nice beer, was hoping for more carbonation but still flavorful drinking.

On draught at the Struise Bruges Beershop, from one of those awesome bags of beer.

Pours a golden color with a big head and lots of lace.

The aroma is sweet and spicy, some good clean maltiness, and some fruity banana and orange character.

The flavor is spicy with some good pear character, some orange rind and a light alcohol flavor. This is a well balanced beer, fruity without being sweet, alcoholic without tasting too strongly of it. The maltiness is well finessed and this beer is all together enjoyable.
