3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle (BierKompass.de)
7 Lovely gentle aroma, so wonderfully inviting. Sweetish biscuity malts (but not caramelly at all) with a lovely fruity blanket on top. I think the Styrian’s the dominant hop here, as it should be.
4- Rich clear (see final sentences) gold, lovely large tight head which slowly settles to an irregular thin layer.
7- Gorgeous fruity retronasals, a touch of citrus, blackcurrant, and raspberry. As you swallow, a little bit of booze wafts up the nose, which detracts a little. Reasonally sweet paleish malts, subtle and refined, and with a earthy bitterness too.
3 Smooth palate, nice balance between the sweeter, almost underattenuated, aspects and the carbonation which crispens it up nicely. A little bit chalky and minerally in the finish. Gentle dry bitter finish. As you drink more, the full resiny whole hops make themselves clearer, eventually becoming what I call "green".
13 No wow, the alcohol and chalk detracted a little, but a pretty solid blond. I think this could have stood another 6-12 months conditioning to improve the sweetness from slight under-attenuation (I like my blond beers very dry). However, if you add all the yeast, then the whole thing mellows nicely, and the chalkiness goes away. The green hops also come out more. So definitely add all the yeast.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Leicht hopfiger Antrunk, belgische Kräuternoten in geringem Umfang. Spritzig, etwas grasig, die Kräuternoten breiten sich aus, dabei ist das Bier aber kaum malzig sondern hopfig. Süffig, trocken. 11/11/11/11/8/11

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Reminds me of a black IPA, with the body of a typical Struise beer. (yeasty, sweet and with spices.) Good and original beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Blonde dorée trouble, dépôt en suspension, effervescence moyenne, très peu de mousse. Bien maltée en entrée, amertume moyenne de pamplemousse pour la suite. Et c’est plus ou moins tout. D’une banalité affligeante...
