Bottle… Hazy golden ale with a small, wispy, white head. Spicy, herbal nose – rooty sassafras or sarsaparilla. Full-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Sweet, spicy, mildly acidic flavor – pale grains and honey with hints of toffee and sassafras. Finishes with a nice, lingering sweetness. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

Countbeer (4303) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - AUG 7, 2011
Bottle: Medium vast white head on top of a hazy dark yellow orange colored beer. Smell yeast, malts, hints of alcohol, fruit, flowers and sweat. Taste is fruity with yeast, spices, medium bitter, malts, a hint of caramel, some warmth of the alcohol light sweet and a hint of grains. Low carbo, soft very light tingly mouthfeel, medium to a slightly fuller body and light creamy texture,

Boutip (4637) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 28, 2011
Bottle: Poured a hazy brown color ale with a super huge foamy head with great retention and perfect lacing. Aroma consists of spicy yeast with nice Belgian malt notes and some residual sugar. Taste is a nice drinkable mix between some Belgian malt with notes of candi sugar and a very nice spicy yeast finish. Body is full with great bottle conditioning and some limited filtration with no apparent alcohol. Very well brewed though not as easily drinkable as the blonde version but the Struise yeast strain is still shining.

330ml bottle, best before January 2016, bought from Dranken Geers. Hazy amber colour. Fluffy white head. Lively carbonation. Strong spicy Belgian yeast aroma. tangy and slightly peppery on the palate. Moderate sharp bitter hop presence. Light mouthfeel. Easygoing and pleasantly drinkable without quite hitting the real high spots.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, mediumsized foamy slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruits, some mild floral and yeasty notes as well. Flavour is fruits, yeast, some wood, quite sweet malts and actually a quite big bitterness lurking in the background and giving a nice dry bitterness in the finish and aftertaste.

Hazy orange color, slight yeast particals present. Average white head. Smell fruits, slight hints of hop and orange. Nice taste, soft yet kind of stimulating, tickling. It makes me want to taste more so that’s a good thing. Very good carbo, very good body. Very evenly balanced.

Bottle at Antwaerps Bierhuiske. Amber colour, big head. Fruity and grassy hop nose, quite complex. Complex fruity hop flavours with hints of chocolate. Very dry in the finish. Full-bodied. Nice.

Amber with a white head. Aroma of caramel and light fruit. Taste is more generically amber than I expected from struise, with even tones of honey and toast, with some underlying fruit and no sourness or funk at all. €3.7 Delirium Cafe
