Bottle at home. Had some problems with gushing. Nice amber coulor, tan foam. Smells soure, some oranges, citrus, a little bit alcohol and some banana. Taste medium bitterness, a little salty, lightly sour, some banana, nice warming alcohol taste, a little smoke, some coffee. My opinion: the beer has a nice taste but is infected, if it gushed that much...

Tripel version of Westoek X, for the same commissioner and also a four-grains ale. Thick, off-white head, misty ochre blonde colour. Bready and grassy aroma, orange peel, apple, pepper; fruity taste, yeasty, somewhat spicy, soft, dry maltiness, strongish leafy hop bitterness in the finish with some bourbon-like warming alcohol. Nice, but perhaps not the world class quality we are used to from the Struise Brouwers.

Lost almost half of the bottle just after openning but the taste wasn’t bad. Being a Struise beer this one was below my expectations.

Bottle as a bonus for an in person trade with Seb in Brussels - thanks! Like the other recent reviews this freaking bottle gushed like mad. Luckily I am in a crappy hotel room. Most of the bottle was lost. Have a bit in my mug now. Somewhat of a malty wheat nose. Still lots of carbonation, despite the thing gushing so much. Some mild tartness with some classic belgian spices. A little bitter and astringent on the finish.

Bottle. Massive gusher, half of the beer came out right after opening. Fuck this. Hazy orange with white head. Sour grains, white wine and some spices. Medium sweet malts with strong yeasty notes. Good spicy and some apple. Way too much carbonation. Nice stuff, but seems a bit infected. For these prices some quality control would be nice.

Large white head, came out of the bottle, yellow golden colour, fruity citrus orange yeast som sugar co2 smell, high carbonation medium bitter sour yeast sticky some orange taste
Because a large head formed when poured in the glass I only could pour in 1/3th of the bottle. The sourness was much lower some grapes earth wine woody taste

Flaska bishops Storgatan - mycket intressant doft som påminner om en spontanare. Ljus grumlig med en fin vit skumkrona. Komplex maltighet med någon krydda som ligger och smyger i bakgrunden. Valbalanserad!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle served in a chalice glass.
A: Pours a hazy copper color forming a medium thin bubbled creamy beige head with excellent retention and lots of spotty lacings left. A small layers remains forever on the top
S: Very fruity with strong notes of grapes. A bit acid which reminds a bit a Flemish Red Ale. Candy sugar and Belgium earthy-bready yeasts. Alcohol
T: Slightly sweet upfront. Again, very fruity with strong notes of grapes. Candy sugar, caramel. caramel malts. A bit metallic. End is mild bitter. Pleasant
M: Medium to heavy body. Medium to low carbonation. Bittersweet aftertaste. Malty fruity with a nice hoppy sting
O: Good drinkability. Not the best from Struise but still an very enjoyable beer
