PriorL (1643) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAY 11, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 3, 2013 33cl bottle at home. Shared with Mathieu87. Appearance: amber clear beer, unstable off white head. Nose: caramel, malts, little sour, but mostly caramel. Taste: little sour, malts, lots of sugar. Not really an enjoyable beer... Struise can do way better than this!

Bottle shared with wyzzywyz22 from Ship in a Bottle, Liverpool. Fucker completely exploded all over Rich’s kitchen. Quite sweet, complex, pepper and spice, balsamic vinegar, peach and fruit. Apart from the opening drama I enjoyed this.

PotjeBier (1596) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 10, 2011
33 cl bottle from Cracked Kettle. Orange/amber color, with big almost white head, shrinking to a small blanket. Smells like a (sweet) fruity triple: apple, peach, with some spiciness. Flavor is not as sweet as you would expect from the aroma’s but slightly so, malty sweetish, with hints of spices & bitterness. Maltiness develops, then a dry, fairly bitter finish. Good & solid Belgian triple (or whatever).

TET (1570) - FINLAND - MAR 2, 2012
A beautiful, cloudy and orange beer with a almost big and beige head. aroma is fruitfull and even overcooked fruitfull, bananas, sweet plums, yeast and some spicyness lurks in the background. Taste is also fruitfull, nice herbal spicyness, some peppers, long and dry aftertaste, simpler taste than aroma. Medium bodied, fresh and quite lot of carbonation. Nice, (belgian)fruitfull beer with strenght and effort, but still the brightest crown can’t be achieved.

Hazy red brown, small off white head. Aroma and taste is sour, wood, some yeast, brown sugar. Medium body, ok carbo.

Abio (1551) - Waasland, BELGIUM - MAR 2, 2011
Slightly darker orange beer then the 6% version. The smell is more malty/grainy, also very herbal. The same thing that is a bit metallic comes up at this one. Good sized head, holds decent. A bit more puwerfull taste, slightly sweet-bitter, malts, herbs, and the yeast gets his way trough also. I prefer this one slighty above the Westoek X. A bit more power behind the taste.

Golden colur and longa lasting, white head. Floral, honey, citrus aroma. Subtly bitter, subtly sweet, subtly dry, fruity flavour. Not very different from the 6% version.

Scrapersnbeer (1466) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 17, 2012
Yeasty citrus, spice and grape aromas. Murky pumpkin color, fine tan head. Taste is a much darker mix than the scent: candied dark fruit, boozey brown sugar, and a touch of salt. Thick, fluffy and filling. Too heavy to be a tripel, too sweet to be a sour. Nice, kind of unique ale.
