Rip Van Winkle Beer was originally brewed in the early 1900’s and dubbed "The Richest Bottle of Beer in the World." The new Rip is a malty bock beer as a turn of the century German would have brewed. Amazingly smooth for an 8% beer.

Nothing offensive, just extremely basic lacking any distinction, can’t believe this is very nearly 9%, I’m looking for a lot more interest from something which allows few servings

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This beer is definitely very sweet smelling and has a sweet, malty taste. Deep reddish brown color and decent head with good lacing. I also taste roasted, caramel flavors as well. Decent beer with a slight bitter aftertaste. Nothing too special. Not terribly familiar with this style of beer either, so perhaps it is better/worse compared to the standard.
