Handpump @ the Cradock Leicester. Ripe apple and oaky aroma. Pale golden colour. Taste is ripe apple, slightly woody. Smooth but not very satisfying mouthfeel. Drinkable but normal. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Simple lightly sour and apple aroma. Clear gold, fizzy carbonation. Watery palate. Rather feeble. Nice tartness, but that’s about all. Don’t make cider at 5% please, and if you do, please don’t filter it.
Rerate: Bag-in-box (St George, Staines) as Marcle Hill (6:3:5-:3-:10=2.7--)
Nice sharp fruity aroma. Watery palate, flat. Quite lacking a fruity body, disappointing. Watery finish.

Draught. Pours clear golden in color. Light funk and a bit of fresh apples in aroma. Flavor has a bit more of a ripe apple taste in it, feels a bit more sweet than the aroma suggested. Light funk in aftertaste as well with some sweeter notes too.

Light amber color, still. Light apple juice flavor. Mellow mouthfeel, semi sweet, with some decent apple juice flavor and light astringency.
Simple but pleasant.

ALLOVATE (2142) - Butler, AUSTRALIA - OCT 13, 2011
Polypin, room temp. @ The Plough Inn, Taunton, Somerset (labelled Marcle Hill Cider).
Bright medium gold and still. Simple aroma of sweet apple pulp, plump, ripe, clean and without any noticeable nuances. Quite mousy, cheesy with a rough woody finish. Smooth, very light bodied, even watery, apple flavour is subdued on the palate but in high gear in the swallow. Residually sweet, tangy, feintly bitter, linger of fruit pulp fades off slowly. Pretty straightforward stuff. A session cider in the making, it’s at least halfway there!

[Cask at The Falcon (JDW), High Wycombe] Gold, no fizz. Rather vinegary apple aroma. By contrast, on tasting it’s smooth and creamy with lots of vanilla and a hint of oak. As ciders go, this one’s not too bad.
