500ml bottle. 2008 vintage. Pale yellow colour, clear, reasonably lively with fine beading. Thin ring of white foam persists, headless otherwise. Quite pungent apple aroma. Get that sort of ’mature’ apple element in there, like an apple that is on its way to deteriorating. Some citric acidity hits high in the nose, peppery perfumey alcohol presence too. Very full body, with decent length comparable to a white table wine. Carbonation is subdued, bit of tannin and acidity present, along with alcohol, drying out the palate. Red delicious apple flavour on the body, starts quite sweet, bit of ripe pear in there, becomes more tart and spicy with odd savoury grassy/woody notes and alcohol-derived peppery notes which linger on the finish. Quite a potent cider, doesn’t hide the abv all too well, but has a nice bit of tannin and acid that add some complexity to the flavour and mouthfeel. Couldn’t drink much more than 1 bottle.

Bottle. Clear pale gold in colour, no head and very little visible carbonation. Aroma is light and sweet as is the flavour, although there is a little sourness in the flavour. Mouthfeel is slick, slightly thin, with a lingering sweet/sour finish. A pretty good cider all things considered.

500 ml bottle. Golden and crystal clear. Small white head at the edges. Rich aroma with oak and tannins. Apples are mellow and sweet. Quite a lot of alcohol in there, but it is not really that noticeable. Medium-bodied. Fruity apple flavours. Warming in the finish. Ripe apples.
