Westons Henry Westons Vintage Reserve Cider

Bottle (500ml). Pale, oily gold, quick-diminishing fizzy white head. Dusty aroma of ripe apple and pear, and a good off-dry Reisling. The taste is less "wine"-y, but decent ripe apple - soft, slightly buttery. Oily, fairly flat mouthfeel, no linger or finish, but a soft palate. Pretty good.

Bouteille de 500 ml, provenant d’un coffret cadeau, achetée à la LCBO (Ottawa, ONT). Arôme: Odeur de pommes sûrettes. Apparence: La couleur est dorée avec une faible densité de bulle. Saveur: Odeur de pommes avec une pointe d’érable. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Faible effervescence en bouche. Bottle from a Weston’s giftpack, purchased at the LCBO. Clear golden with a slight white head. Aroma of tart apples with a slightly funky and cheesy edge. Flavour is a bit sweeter than the aroma suggests, but isn’t cloying - still a bit of tart funkiness going on, and some woody notes as well. A bit of boozy warmth to finish. Pretty nice stuff, definitely my favourite of the three in the gift box.

Bag in a box. Clear yellow coloured with a white head. Aroma of apples, wood and almonds. Flavour of wood and apples with some sweetness.

Tasted in Toronto. Obtained from LCBO as part of a Henry Westons 3-pack. Tasted in pint glass. Appearance is golden, clear but obvious presence of high carbonation. Aroma is sweet, some ’richness’, very little sourness. Flavor is pungent, with am oaky vanilla finish.

Bottle. Golden flat looking cider with a tobacco like aroma and a rich and fruity fizzyish flavour. Overall an average cider.

Bottled. Pale golden with no head. Lots of sourness in the aroma, along with apples and yeast. Sour apples, yeast and some medicin-like notes in the flavor. Thin, astringent mouthfeel. Lovely and refreshing cider. (060518)

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Clear and Pale Golden colour with slight mustyiness in the aroma and the faintest of appley aromsas.Very easy to drink for an 8.2% cider apples and oakiness in flavour all in all quite a decent number.
