COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This cider, which is made from top quality apples, has been allowed to mature in old oak vats for up to six months and then specially selected for Henry Weston, great-grandson of the founder, as the very best of the year's vintages.

16.9oz bottle -

Since BevMo had many of their unusual ciders on sale, I thought why the heck not. I enjoy a refreshing cider that’s not overly cloying, and so far the two I’ve had from Weston’s were both really nice. Apples in the aroma on this one, but so is just a hint of wood/oak barrel. Almost reminds me of a champagne, but not quite. Flavor has strong notes of apples, vanilla and oak..much more present in the flavor than the aroma. Finishes with a slight acidic/vinegar like ending. A nice showcase of apples without becoming candy-like.

Bottle. Pale yellow with no head. Tastes of zingy red apples. Acidic. I’m not really a cider man.

maneliquor (3275) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - NOV 28, 2011
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Clear golden pour with a very small white head. Nice beads down the glass. Sour apples and earth on the nose. A little sweeter in the taste than expected. A touch of wood and ground apples. Nice stuff

Pours clear pale orange with no head. Aroma has notes of Apple, pear and fruits. Taste is fruity with heavy notes of apples and pears. Slightly sticky finish. Nice, well balanced cider.

suurjuust (1221) - ESTONIA - OCT 18, 2011
2010 vintage. Pale gold, no lasting head to speak of. Nose is sour apples, acidic notes, yeast, wooden notes. The taste is less complex than the nose would suggest - mainly acidic apples, with some wooden-yeasty undertones. It’s good, but not great.

Clear, pale golden. Earthly aroma of apples and yeast. The flavour and palate are not as good as you could assume based on the aroma. Sweet, apply and dry. It’s a good cider.

hawthorne00 (2549) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 11, 2011
Clear gold, medium bead. Aroma of mellow apples with a little wood but no tartness. But there is a little there in the mouth because the apples are quite sweet but get cleaned up before a touch of vanillaish oak. The wood is pretty prominent after a while. The cider is OK but plain beforehand.

500ml bottle. Pours pale gold with medium carbonation. Aroma is slightly sour and a touch acidic apples. Taste has some wood to start. Dry, sour apple finish. Tastes a bit too tramp juice-esque.
