Commercial Description:
This cider, which is made from top quality apples, has been allowed to mature in old oak vats for up to six months and then specially selected for Henry Weston, great-grandson of the founder, as the very best of the year's vintages.

Bottle from Sainsbury. Pale gold, no head. Some rubber upfront, but then fresh apple fruit aroma. Carbonation in mouth is ok. Bit more rubber, but some nice apple/peach flavour. Finish has some intense syurupy fruit and good dryness. Above average commercial cider. But then what do I know about cider?

Bottle. - Woody nose. Quite sweet taste at first, but with a slightly harsh acidity in the finish. Easy drinkable for a 8,2 % cider.

I like this one, because reminds me the spanish one, which I like. Nice colour.

Attractive deep gold in colour, ripe juicy apples on the nose, cant notice any oak , but old oak wont really contribute much to the nose or flavour so that’s no surprise. Smooth palate, juicy mouthfilling flavour, not particularly dry, but has good acidity, top quality cider.

nose is quite sweet, unripened apples, a little sugary sweetness separate from the apples. reasonable body, alcohol comes through more than i would have liked, overly sweet, cloying.

Know very little about cider, but first impressions were not great. I wondered if this really what cider is supposed to taste like. Slightly artificial flavour like an apple flavour chewy sweet? Moderately fizzy? Didn’t get the oak at all. After a bit it began to grow on me. Presumably the 8% alcohol helped.

Pale gold in colour. Aromas are sweet and earthy apples with some sour notes. Flavours are sweet(ened) apples - a bit artificial. Slighty woody and dry with an acidic, slight vomit finish. You can’t really taste the alcohol. So so.
