i sell this all the time and love the taste smell and condition one of the best on trade scrumpy cider ciderheads (4), England does not count Aug 8, 2004 This is a decent cider. Better than old blackthorn which i used to like but dont anymore. Hanna (10), Turku, Finland Jan 29, 2006 Updated: Feb 23, 2006Bottle.
Cloudy dark gold colour, no head.
"Real" red apple aroma, very fruity, mouldy, spicy, dry, just like Finnish autumn apples.
Dry, interesting, very fruity and "real" apple flavour. Long aftertaste, mouldy, earthy, oaky.
Light carbonation, dry mouthfeel. Leaves plenty of yeasty residue in the bottom of the bottle. mirjukka (480), LOHJA, Finland Jun 29, 2008 BIB at Gallows Bird Espoo since 2000
color: bit hazy yellow
scent:strong apple
Taste:sweet sour apple, alcohol don’t present at all. I prefer half pints. All time favorite!
Gr0ve (1134), Oslo, Norway May 22, 2006 Bottle, Københavnske Øldage 2006. Light golden with a light haze. Sourish sweet apple aroma. Refreshing sour apple and citrus. Really mellow and very drinkable. Remarkingly similar to Basque sidras. This is the first scrumpy I’ve had, hence the comparison. Great find. This is a great start of my scrumpy career. It’s difficult not to like it.
