2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled. Yellowo colour, small white head, which disappears rather fast. Aroma is apples, vanilla and mild wood. Also rather sweet notes. Flavour is fruity, wooden, mild apples and some vanilla. Not too bad for being low alcohol.

Bottled@SBWF2008. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is apples, some sweet fruityness. Flavour is dry sweetish apples. Actually a nice low alcohol cider, that has more character than most of the 4-5% commercial macromade stuff from Finland.

Bottle. Golden with carbonation. Aromas are ripe apple with low oaky wood and apricot jam. Flavours are sweet, ripe apple with some tart green apple. A bit artificial towards the end. OK for what it is.

Bottle. Pale gold with low carbonation. Aromas are sweet and sour apple with hints of caramel. Candy sugar with some musty notes. Flavours are sweet, thin apple with some vinegar and green apple tartness. Slightly eggy to finish. Not bad for it’s strength.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Headless yellow. Slightly musty, acetic aroma with good crisp fruit. Sweet but with enough sour tang and mellow tannins to make it pleasant drinking. My first ever low alcohol cider and it blows the majority of low alcohol beers out of the water. Impressive.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I wasn’t sure what to expect but this is surprisingly ok.
It wouldn’t get only any list of CAMRA approved ciders, as it’s clearly not full juice. The main ingredient is water, followed by cider and apple juice - as you’d expect as they’ve managed to water it down to 1% ABV. It’s certainly drinkable, and a lot less fizzy than many bottled ciders (which is a good thing)
Straw coloured with a very light - almost watery - taste, but not unpleasant.
It’s not a proper cider, but it would certainly keep me happy if I was on designated driver duty.
