draft - Pours pale gold and smells of green apples. It’s bubbly and sweet. It’s light, refreshing, and pretty much the average cider one might expect.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Lively pale gold body, medium bead, not head. Good clarity.
Minimal aroma; apple skin, caster sugar, bit of farty S02.
Quite thin body, moderately high carbonation, subdued acid, short palate.
Flavour similiar to the nose, not a great deal happening. Light apple flavours, some sweetness, almost seems a bit artificial. Clean finish, refreshingly dry.
Very drinkable, non-offensive cider. If you’re looking for flavour and texture, look elsewhere.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2010 440ml can from M&S. That it has come to this? Buying 11 new rates from M&S in Liverpool just because they are cheap?? Yes, well there you go when you have unimaginative supermarket beer buyers. Clear gold, no head. Some boiled apple on the aroma. Some commercial cider flavour. It’s not horrid, but I am just so disappointed by this. It’s fine, not too sweet, some dryness, but it just doesn’t go anywhere. but fine. Re-rate its not that bad. Drinkable decent fruit flavour not to sweet. Fine

Can. A light golden cider with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of apples - and not much more. The flavor is sweet with notes of apples as well as a bit of acid, leading to a lightly tart finish.

A yellow beer with a fast disappearing head. Both the aroma and the flavor are sweet and dominated by apples, the end is dry. An OK cider.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Can, 4.5%. Almost no aroma. Clear pale yellow colour. The flavour is very subtle. Watery flavour, tastes like cider with a lot of water. I wonder how they kept the ABV so high with so little flavour.

Draught. Clear yellow colour. Nice and sweet, very slightly acidic apple flavour. Not the worst cider I have had.

Can 44 cl. Clear yellow with a dissipating white head. Very discreet appley aroma. Light body, dominated by citric acid while the apples are subdued and only a vague memory. Ends almost sour. Poor excuse for a cider. 190210

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
[On tap at Sweeney & Todd’s, Reading] My cider-drinking friends rave about this stuff, so I thought I’d give it a go. It pours pale gold and fizzy, with a small rapidly dissipating white head. Fortunately the fizz is less aggressive on the mouth than the eye. Taste is rather sour/vinegary, with some slight metallic notes, but it’s definitely more drinkable than most of its mass-market rivals - it’s quite dry, light and refreshing in fact. So, not a total write-off, but still nothing to write home about.
