This was my first cider, and i think the last as well. It’s a good refreshing drink, but not a beer.

330ml bottle. Lively pale gold body, medium bead, not head. Good clarity. Minimal aroma; apple skin, caster sugar, bit of farty S02. Quite thin body, moderately high carbonation, subdued acid, short palate. Flavour similiar to the nose, not a great deal happening. Light apple flavours, some sweetness, almost seems a bit artificial. Clean finish, refreshingly dry. Very drinkable, non-offensive cider. If you’re looking for flavour and texture, look elsewhere.

On draught at Cloisters. Pours a golden colour with a fair white head. Apple aroma and flavour. Quite dry and not too sweet. Nice dry finish. Moderate carbonation and a little CO2 prickle.

Can, as Stowford Press, almost no head, clear deep golden colour, an appley winey cider that is quite dry despite its name, soft carbonation. Not complex but clean and satisfying and very easy to drink.

I can’t say my socks were absolutely knocked off by this cider. Yellow-gold in colour with a niff of sweetish cider apples and taste of the same. Not a great memorable finish but medium sweet and quaffable.

Pale blond color. Some apple aroma, woody. Quite sweet in the front, gets dryer at the end…

Quite sweet with a dry finish. Not a bad cider and there are worse out there, more acceptable than woodpecker or strongbow.

Light golden colour with almost no head. Apple fruity aroma. Flavor is almost only apple fruity, but with a bit more sweetness than the aroma.

[On tap at Sweeney & Todd’s, Reading] My cider-drinking friends rave about this stuff, so I thought I’d give it a go. It pours pale gold and fizzy, with a small rapidly dissipating white head. Fortunately the fizz is less aggressive on the mouth than the eye. Taste is rather sour/vinegary, with some slight metallic notes, but it’s definitely more drinkable than most of its mass-market rivals - it’s quite dry, light and refreshing in fact. So, not a total write-off, but still nothing to write home about.
