Flavours of fermented appels, bitters, stone, light earthy, some lemon, light cellar, dried apples, some apple juice and light malt dust. Aftertaste is a mix of apples, bitters, some malty ish tones, fermented/yeast and some dust. Low carbo, watery mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller bodied and a light watery texture.

DruncanVeasey (7112) - NUNEATON, Top 13, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2013
Bottle from offie consumed at The New Penguin. About time I got my finger out and rated something. Misted green gold without head. Good chalky calamine aroma with sprinklings of TCP and wasp-addled rotting fruits. Sharp and yeasty with bags of peel, wheelie bin (of decaying windfall), calamine and crap white wine left to sour on the worktop overnight. Surprisingly real and decent.

500ml bottle (Hilpea Haukki, Helsinki)
Hazy yellow, and the etched glass gives constant tiny bubbles, which I guess does make it look better, but is just flattening the drink. Whatever. Pleasant fruity aroma. Crisp palate, refreshing carbonation. Apple quite muted, quite dry. More appley as it warms, sweeter too, in fact it heads off in the directiojn of toffeeapple in the finish. Nice one.
