COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditional Scrumpy is a hearty and wholesome STILL, CLOUDY strong cider, fermented in our 200 year old oak vats. Sufficiently strong to satisfy but not too sweet to smother the mature flavour of the traditional bitter sweet apples.

Sharp sour apple aroma. Classic scrumpy. Cloudy. MEdium dry bite. Almost watery palate, so easily drinkable. In some ways it’s a bit weak, no alcohol at all, I’ve never been a fan of 6% and lower scrumpies, but I can cope with this. Nice dry palate - crisp. Bacony finish - yum!

From bag in a box at The Hengler’s Circus. Pours cloudy yellow with no head. Aroma is citric apples, light yeasty note. Mild sweet, citric and towards a tart, yet crisp apple fruity finish.

Draught at a Wetherspoons. Greenish gold with no head. Well despite the bumph, this was sweet. Sweet apple juice with a light alcohol note. Unimpressed.

Handpull at The Market Porter. Clear bright gold (cloudy? Not a chance) with a small and lasting fizzy white head. Atoma is ripe golden apple, sweet, with plenty of acidic funk - taste has just a hint of sourness, mostly a mild fairly sweet simple apple taste with a wee bit of tartness and slightly sour white plonk. Fairly thick, still and only a little acidic, it finishes quickly and leaves little lingering impression. Ah well. Not bad.

Nice one after two years of no real ales or ciders. It was quite sweet and interestingly cloudy. NIce peel features and aftertaste.

Cask. Poured a hazy pale yellow with no head. Sweet & sour at the fire with a pithy, rindy bitterness at the back. Light to medium body, a delicate spritz on the tongue finishing with a lightly bitter lingering tartness.

Polypin, handpump @ The Boat, Mindarie.
Produces up a cloudy, sandy gold and still. Oddly pleasing, though subdued aroma of ripe and acidic fell fruit, wood and mouse fur. Very light bodied, quite dry and a little thin in the mouth. Woody, light pine needle note and drawn apple peel and core. It holds a lot of cooking apple to it, not sweet, not plump. Finish is very short, puckering, dry. The ABV is remarkably restrained. Drinks well, but lacks oomph! Still, two pints in it is an enjoyable drop!!!

Cask @ The Eldon Arms. Pours cloudy pale yellow with no head. Aroma is acidy sour and apples. Flavor similar with some underlying sweetness. Finishes dry.
