Bottle. Pours a rather clear yellow with not much of a head. Aroma is apple, a bit of pear, some vinegar. Taste is rather sweet, but also somewhat sour. Apple is strong as is pear and vinegar. Good sipper.

Bottled (2011 vintage, from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Pale yellowish golden colour with not too much head. Aroma is pear, a bit white wine like, some slight vinegar, mild fruit sugars as well as some vanilla. Flavour is sweet fruit sugar, some pear, and mild vanilla. Actually quite nice, and hides the 7.4 % the bottle states very well. Good refreshing cider, which lies somewhere between "mainstream" and handcrafted stuff.

20713. Bottle at home. Pours clear light golden with a nice head. Aroma perry. Sweet body. As always too sweet for my taste.

0.5 l bottle (vintage 2011) from Alko. Acidic aroma with vinegar, grapefruit, slightly more apple than pear. Surprisingly lambic like aroma. Tastes much sweeter than aroma suggests with grapefruit, pineapple and somewhat sharp vinegar. Pear and apple taste is restrained and comes in the finish. Medium body, low tannins, alcohol completely masked by fairly high acidity. Fairly nice and complex, although I would prefer a bit less vinegar acidity.

500 ml bottle. Clear pale yellow colour. Aroma of ripe perries and tart apples. The flavour is sweetish, with perries, some tart notes and a little alcohol warmth in the finish. Pretty good.

Bottled. Pours very pale in color. Fizzy at first. Light barnyard and some fruitiness in aroma. A bit of funkiness and tart notes in taste and has got a little bit of pear sweetness in aftertaste. Very refreshing.

Bottle. Golden with carbonation. Aromas are ripe pear with green apple and some woodiness. Spritzy yeast with some biscuit. Flavours are sweet dessert pear and apple with some tart citrus. Yeasty with a sweet, cloying finish. OK

500ml bottle (Drink Shop, Tallinn)
Remarkably appley, and apple skin-ey aroma, a touch of farmy funk too. Very pale, but only as you’d expect from a perry - totally clear, and rather a lemonadey spritz to it. Crisp in the mouth, crisp carbonation, and a spine tingling sharpness. All my hairs stood on end. Taste is also a little peary but hinting at sharp apples too. I don’t remember a perry as sharp as this before. I think the local cider cows won’t like this, but it’s a pretty good perry. I’m not a huge fan of filtered clear ciders from anywhere apart from France and Spain, but Westons do make quality products, and this is one of them. I was thirsty, and with no regard to the rumoured 7.4% alcohol, I pretty much slammed this. Pulling a wasp-chewing face and a mongy contortion every time I paused for breath, of course. Deep down, I’m a scrumpy perry guy. So sorry, Westons, I can’t give this a high score, but I promise I’ll keep buying Old Rosie though!

Bottle from Morrisons. Pale gold/straw in colour, quite heady fruity nose, full bodied, rather weighty. Well balanced mouthful, loads of fruit with a surprising streak of acidity, there’s a noticable sweetness which was unexpected at this ABV. Much better than I’d expected.
