50cl bottle. Pours a golden-orange colour with steady bubbles and no head to speak of. The nose is a bit mute but has some dry apples. The taste is of sour apples. The palate is medium bodied, clean and bitter. Overall, it’s an enjoyable cider but not with the depth of flavour expected from the alcohol level.

Bottle. Clear medium golden, moderate carbonation. Aroma is brown apples, slightly vinous, musty notes. Flavour is apple juice and crude Sauvignon blanc blended, slightly medicinal, hints of soft yeast and dusty wood. Medium sweetness, dry finish. Not bad.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys in my desperate quest to actually rake 10k drinks on this website. Clear copper gold colour with no head. Apple juice aroma with a touch of orangeade. A really back to basics simple cider. Nothing fancy, it has medium everything. Not too sweet, not too dry, not too mahy flavours that would put anyone off, but enough flavour to keep someone like me interested. It’s decent, but won’t light up any flavourboards anywhere. What is a flavourboard? Nope, I don’t have any idea either. Can I go back to the TV now? I can? Oh goody.....

500ml bottle from Tesco. Last bottle on my cider night. Pale gold, no head. Not a huge aroma, not a huge amount of flavour, bit too sweet. Some sweetish apple juice, no real complexity. Some apple skin on finish. Bit sweet and bland.

Bottle. Maybe unfair to compare to the Sea Cider Pippins but that’s the fruit business! Dark fold. Aroma strong in apples and moderate cheesiness that I need explained. Seems a bit thin and incomplete although finish and aftertaste are very strong and enjoyable. Middle is disapointing thin but finish brings it back up.

ClubGonzo (3520) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 10, 2010
Pours a clear orange body with a decent carbonation, but no head. Smell is ripe apples and wooden notes with hints of barnyard yeast. Taste is matured apple juice, oak, white grapes and wine yeast. Dry finish. Westons Premium Organic Cider is not too sweet, balanced and well-blended. But not overtly exiting.

Small coarse frosh island disappears immediately. Yellow body. Raisiny apple aroma with wooden prune notes. Dry-sweetish raisiny mealy apple taste with wooden notes. Fullish body. Mild mouthfeel. Dryish-sweetish alcoholic mealy apple aftertaste Not bad. Could almost drink a bottle of this. (0.5l bottle shared by gr0ve.)

No head. Yellow body with very light carbonation. Apple aroma with strong metallic wood character. Dry-sweet mealy apple taste with acidic sharpish wooden notes. Aftertaste is bitter apples with metallic alcohol notes. Not bad, and definitely has character. (0.5l bottle from the wine monopoly.)
