3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle labeled as "Westons Wyld Wood Pear Cider". Hazy golden colour. Sweet aroma, not crazy pear, but a mixture. Taste is sweet and a little boozy, pears, a bit floral and syrupy, nicely tart. This is not bad.

Looks like white wine. Tastes like cider with a pear twist. Dont like but prefer it over commercial lager.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Very sweet pear cider. I didn’t feel pear so much. It’s like mixure of pear and apple. It’s too sweet and it is like wine more than a beer. For us beerlovers it’s understandably that we don’t like this too much.

From bottle. Poor wee Pete likes an alcopop when he’s hungover. He got a rum deal with this one. Foul. Sweet and sour. Like it was on the turn. Really poor. Sink job.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours with all the fury of a French champagne to settle a medium gold, translucent liquid of soda-pop consistency. Woody, mineral-like, salted cracker nose with hints of rhubarb, plum and rotting green vegetables, ugh! Thin, watery and very tangy, tannic and astringent. Really tart in an oddly sweet way. Makes my mouth pucker. Tastes of watered down apple juice with sweaty sock sulphury notes lingering. Pear? Hard to tell in between the collapse of my cheek muscles that is each sip. Not my thing and definitely not the better of Weston’s range! (50cL, BBE 05/13, Dan Murphy’s Currambine)
