Bottle. It pours a clear, yellow body without any head, and the first whiff of aroma made me disappointed, sulphur is far too evident. Would have known if I read the label, but I didnít. Luckily it soon diminishes a lot, leaving just a faint note of sulphur. Thereís pears and some earth and cold autumn nighttime grass as well, but I would like it all much more pronounced. Especially the pears. In the mouth itís quite dry, pleasantly carbonated, obviously force carbonated, and lightly sparkling. As for the aroma, the flavor should be more pronounced. Thereís a light pear taste, a faint note of sulphur and grass, and some sugary hints. It hasnít got the palate cleansing effect I would like it to have. Anyway, itís a product several leagues above the regular industrial "pear cider", but it didnít ring any bells for me. Wonít shy away if Iím served it, but wonít buy more of it either. 101027

Bottle from the LCBO. Been sitting on this one for a while, but thankfully itís still in good shape. Has the expected clear and light golden colour. Aroma musty pear juice, pear skin, and some dry white wine. Light body with moderate carbonation. Decent flavour of slightly vinous pear juice. A little unexciting, but still tasty enough stuff.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6%. Contains sulphites. Pale yellow colour, small short-lived head. Aroma of ripe pears, hints of sulphur. Fairly fresh and sweet pear flavour with a hint of sulphur. A bit too far out on the sweet side, but nice enough to drink.

YK23 (465) - Haifa, ISRAEL - JUN 23, 2010
Bottle: semi dry white wine, sweetish, a little herbal, grassy and flowery, some lemony notes, pears of course, faint hay, quite simple, light bodied drinkable perry, nothing special though.

Bottle. Clear golden with a bit of white foam. Aroma of pears and some green apples. Sweetish pear flavor with a bit of sugar, pear skin and light sourness thatís getting a bit stronger towards the slightly alcoholic finish. Nothing too exciting, but still a refreshing Perry.

scotty (1071) - SCOTLAND - MAY 23, 2010
Pale straw in colour, tiny bubbles, light aroma of pears. Quite smooth, a bit sweeter than Iíd normally go for but this has an unexpected sharp acidity which balances the sweetness. This was WELL chilled, very refreshing, good stuff, would buy again!

Appearance: Pours a washed-out yellow color and a very low carbonation.
Aroma: Clean, sweet, overripe pears.
Flavor: Brown sugared pear-compote followed by a nice tart acid bite and finish slightly dry.
Mouthfeel/Palate: Watery, slipping body with a soft carbonation.
Overall: Quite nice sweet-dry balance with a bit acidity. Simple and pure.

ComradeK (1059) - The Vale of Dundas, AUSTRALIA - APR 11, 2010
500ml bottle. Very strong initial bitterness for a perry. Hazelnut flavours dominate, tempered of course by pear fruit notes. The palate is crisp, and the finish brisk. A thoroughly pleasant drink; I would recommend it to anyone.
