akevitt (93), Valhalla, Minnesota, USA Apr 16, 2008 Thanks to Yesper, JK, hellomynameis. The beer was cloudy brown with a moderate amount of off-white head. In the aroma I got sour barnyard, fruit, spices, along with some bubble gum. The flavor contained those elements, but was mostly dominated by malt. The beer was too carbonated.
fidel (98), Livermore, California, USA Jul 27, 2008 Thanks AgentSteve. Hazy brown, Malty, dark fruits, caramel, slight alcohol, dry finish. AgentSteve (700), Livermore, California, USA Jul 27, 2008 Bottle from Hellomynameis. Huge thanks to Zac for this rare gem. Pours opaque mahogany with a two finger tan head. The nose is malty, apricot, plum and a hint of alcohol. The flavor is quite the same, with all influences blending beautifully. Ther’s also a touch of sour ale, almost vinegar like, but it wasn’t bad at all. Added complexity. The finish is dry tannic and clean.
