JustinFromAL (50), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. I’ve been saving this one for my 50th rating! Huge thanks for Ben for bringing this one back for me! Pours hazy, pale yellow with a frothy white head that shows nice lacing. Aroma is crisp, fruity, and a touch of malts. Great beer, there’s a lot going on with the taste, it’s fruity with a hoppy touch and a lightly bitter aftertaste. Wheat, fruit, and something sweet, maybe honey? It manages to do everything without being overwhelming. It’s easy to see why this beer gets the rating it does. jayg (997), Florida, USA Jul 19, 2008 Bottle from trade. Pours a hazy light straw color, with a thin white pillow of foam on top. Rousing produces a thicker even layer that stays for a while. Looks nice. Aroma is of mild sweet malts, a suggestion of spice, and a light yeast presence. The taste is subdued, a smooth malt mix sits nicely on a yeasty twang. Subtle but very enjoyable. Borresteijn (105), Amstelveen, Netherlands Jul 15, 2008 Bottle @ home. Hazy pale golden colour, thick white head. Aroma of hops, malts and some yeast. Taste is soft malty, a little zest, nice hoppy and dry bitter finish. Very crisp overall. I love this style. azlondon (463), Greater London, England Jun 27, 2008 Trappist beers being my favourite beer type, I had been trying to get hold of Westvleteren for a long time. I finally found all three of them - not cheap though.

Info: 330ml bottle, 16/6-2006, 126/300, 67/500 arhythmt (67), USA Jun 25, 2008 Wow! A delicious blond beer: Well-balanced, a bit spicy and hoppy up front, nice mid-palate with great texture and dandelion or wild clover flavors, smooth aftertaste with lingering spicy malt and hops. Very nice, and well worth tracking down.
