Head: beige, medium, frothy, avg. retention. Colour: dirty dark brown, cloudy. Aroma: dried fruit, raisins, sourish berries, almond. Taste: moderate sweetness, dried fruit, light roasty bitterness, warming alcohol, spicy. The body is medium (and lighter than expected). A nice rich beer, but a bit overrated.

Brown color, minimal head. Complex aroma of caramel, banana, vanilla, a bit woody. Taste is as complex and very well balanced between sweetness and bitterness, with a long finish. A great brew, thank you the monks!

Bottle from Beergium web shop. Strong smell. Sweet caramel, dates and raisins. Pours brown with a rich beige head. Taste is sweet, bready some malts and some yeasts. Palate has a thin body and a pleasant, easy feeling in the mouth. Overall you have a high expectation of this brand and even if this beer isn’t as good as XII, it delivers.

Bottle. Red-brown beer, almost clear, with a reasonable dark beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some red fruits and resins, far away some citrus-like sourness. Taste is dominated by the roasted malts (caramel, toffee), sweet, with some fruity undertones. Medium body, lacked a bit of CO2.Not bad, not exceptional.

Medium kullsyre

Bottle. Dark amber, large beige head, strongly lacing. Both aroma and taste somehow very 'clean', in strange ways reminiscent of champagne. Surprisingly light body, sour fruity finish. A very interesting beer, for me in a way preferable to the famous 12. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz at Kulminator with Kimberly and Taylor. Pours brown wih a layer of white head. Aroma is caramel, some nuttiness, nice. Taste is nutty, caramel, bready, nice classic Trappist that is beautiful.
