3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pinball (7771) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2011
coudy yellow, smooth slightly offwhite head.
Very very nice belgian trippel aroma. spicy, faint funk, flowery, dry , in fact quite dry, faint yeasty and sugary notes. well balanced.
flavor is yeasty, spicy, fruit peel, dry, almost mild. Not as good as the aroma, but still pretty decent.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jgb9348 (3370) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - OCT 3, 2011
Nice crisp and hazy golden honey body with a off-white head that fades very quickly. Aroma of yeast, light spices, wheat, honey, flowers and definitely some alcohol. Medium-bodied; Spicey wheat and yeast notes with a lot of hops for the style and a bitter, spice kick of coriander seed and curacao. Aftertaste shows a lot of character - the yeast and wheat dominate, but the spice flavours are noticeable and the alcohol and hoppy finishes show very well with a dry complexity at the very end. Overall, a very nice and dry/wheatier finish and a pungent hop note. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium for €2,50 on 02-January-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 03-October-2011.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Bart (2332) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 10, 2011
Light amber coloured beer with a small white head and medium carbonation. Light malty hinted aroma. Full palate. Finish is light bitter and malty touched. Short bitter yeasty hinted. Not mad.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bu11zeye (9614) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 6, 2011
(33cl bottle, BB June 2015) Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a moderate off-white head that quickly diminishes. Aroma of pepper, yeast, grass, and herbs. Flavor of banana, yeast, caramel, citrus, and grass with a soft mouthfeel and dry finish.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Abio (1058) - Waasland, BELGIUM - FEB 2, 2011
Light orange coloured beer with a medium head that could hold a bit longer, but stikcs nice to the glass. The smell is pretty simple: alcohol, citrus, spices, hops. The taste is sour-bitter, a bit unpleasant dryness comes trough. Spiced, hoppy beer, dry and earthy finish. Not really my tripel.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 stobbe74 (2767) - DENMARK - DEC 12, 2010
Bottle. Pours a clear and golden beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, yeast and fruit. The flavor follows the nose with some additional hops with grapefruit and citrus. The palate is bitterness. Overall a good beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TBone (9096) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 10, 2010
Bottled 750ml (BB 12/2012)
Thanks Edo!
Hazy yellow-orange color, good cloudy beige head, lace. Grassy, grainy, herbal nose. Medium-bodied. Hayish hoppy, a bit fruity, Saison like trippel. For being from De Ranke, this is a dissapointment.
