mikeben (335), Naperville, Illinois, USA Jan 3, 2008 Cream ale’s are normally so so, but this one is very good. Irish and British beer seem to be the only one good in cans maybe because of the widget. Anyhow this was very creamy, had a nice body and was super smooth. Very drinkable the appearence was redish. It had a unqiue scent and flavor. Somewhat indefinably Irish. Not mint exactly but somewhat leafy
Poured amber with thick foamy white. jead. New mown hay and malty aroma. Smooth flavour, sweet creamy malt, but with an unpleasant salad note at the end. Flat finish, with more vegetable notes. Only ordinary. There are better ales. jkaiser (101), USA Sep 12, 2008 I did enjoy the smooth mellow taste of malt and hops. Goregous lacing, and head. There was a waterfall inside the glass of foaming beer. Nice brown color. Easy for a novice. Good job Ireland!!! glennmastrange (410), hobe sound, Florida, USA Sep 12, 2008 Can. Light notes of nutty and cereal for the malt, light to medium herbs for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with wood and a faint indiscernible spice in the background. Head is large, creamy with ultra fine bubbles, slightly off-white, with excellent thick lacing and is fully lasting. Color is clear amber/orange. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic and finishes lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with some slickness and has a flat carbonation. Nothing but the faintest of aromas and flavors, but what was there was pretty good. I’ll bet this Irish Ale is excellent from a keg or a cask ThatBrendan (8), Phoenix, Arizona, USA does not count Sep 12, 2008 A nice Draught-style beer and a good example of the Cream Ale style. The malt is interesting but not too pronounced. The head is everything youd expect in a Cream Ale and the flavor is nice if mellow. Not a bad beer if you want to relax or with some fish and chips!
