Bottle. Really pretty dark ruby with a big off white head. Aroma is yeasty with some dark fruits. Taste has lots of plum up front, yeast and a nutty finish. Some vanilla notes peek out as well. Thick palate with a little carb. Not bad.

Oaky tannins. Aged duck sauce. Starts a bit sharp but finishes dark and dry. Complex but not overly enjoyable.

Bottle @ RG 21. Dark caramel with fizzy tan head and floaters. Has a bit of a sour honey aroma with a hint of fresh honeydew and some warmth. Dry and lightly sour with a faint bitterness.

Bottle pour @ the 21st Richmond Gathering. Light brown with red highlights. Effervescent white head. Nose of Belgian yeast. Chocolate, caramel. A bit of stewed vegetable. Roasted nuts. Taste of red apple and plum. Very jammy. Slightly tart. Way over carbonated, which hurts the experience a bit. More caramel. Medium body. Middle of the road.
