Poured a deep amber with some head a some lace. Aroma was yeasty, with the dark fruitiness of the plums coming through. Taste was dark fruits, caramel, toast, malts, and yeast. not my favorite Weyerbacher but worth the try.

Bottle from Maro. Nice mahogany pure, notes of prunes, dates, raisins, caramel and brown sugar. Finish was mildly sweet with hints of spice.

Exactly as stated. The dubbel is missing a bit of the standard concept. The scent is heavy on the deep fruit, slight cocoa and vanilla. Really floral like spring cherry blossoms. Thick hazy and brown red. Tap

Solid belgian, Malty and complex, couldn’t really tell the plum apart too much but it has bit of sweetness to it, will buy again

Pour out of 750 ml bottle, dark reddish brown pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of red fruit, plum, some caramel, toffee, toast, hints of spice, slight yeasty notes, touch of nutty notes. Taste was a mix of big plu, raisin, fig, dark fruits into some caramel, toffee, nutty notes, hints of earthy notes into some spice, finishing slightly sweet, slightly bitter.

Poured into a snifter. 4.0 A: Burgundy brown color. Three plus fingers of frothy off-white head. Retention is very good and plenty of lacing is left. 4.25 S: The plums in this are absolutely wonderful. Big aroma that perfectly complements the base beer. Blackberry, currants, and figs add in an extra fruity kick. Starts dry but has sweet caramel undertones. Lightly spicy yeastiness with pepper and a hint of clove. Very nice. 4.0 T: Taste is also quite good, but it doesn’t quite match the nose. Fruits mentioned above again with lots of plum. Tangy tartness that wasn’t evident in the nose. Caramel and toasty malts. On the drier side overall. 4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation with a light spritziness. Light on the tongue and super smooth. 4.0 D: Tasty beer that I recommend picking up. ★ 817 characters DavoleBomb, Dec 26, 2013

Bottle from delabierman. Plums add sweetness, but detract from the overall dubbel character. Slightly tart and fizzy.

Draft at Varga Bar in Philadelphia. Poured hazy chestnut brown with no head at all. Mild aroma of plums and earth, with some nutty malt too. Medium body with a light astringency to the finish. Flavors of nutty malt and earthy yeast, with lingering notes of honey and plum in the finish.
