Commercial Description:
Autumn Fest is Weyerbacher's own unique twist on the Oktoberfest style. Copper-amber in color, Autumn Fest is made with Vienna and Munich malts for that authentic, Bavarian easy drinking taste. Each sip imparts a wonderful roastiness of malt on the tongue followed by a smooth, consistent finish. Complex yet wonderfully balanced, and with a clean, velvety, slightly fruity taste, Autumn Fest is the perfect beer for the Fall- a nice transition between the lighter beers of summer and the darker, heavier winter brews. It's a favorite of many Weyerbacher aficionados, who anticipate the end of summer with this wonderful beer. Weyerbacher Autumn Fest (OG 1.062, ABV 6.1%) is generally available in stores September through December.

Pours copper-amber with a thin tan head. Smells like tea, caramel, Vienna and Munich malts. Interesting herbal flavor with the Vienna and Bavarian malts clearly there. Flavor was toasty with a descent hops presense. Palate is pretty thick surprisingly. Pretty nice Oktoberfest.

12 oz bottle. Thin in taste, lacking the maltiness of a true Oktoberfest. I’m surprised this is 6% alcohol. I’m a big fan of Weyerbacher but dissapointed with this one.

Had on tap. Pours a nice brown color with a small head. I picked up a ton of cinamon in the head. This was a very sweet and bready. I liked it and thought it was a very good American style October.

12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Hazy caramel color with flat head. Mild sweet yeasty caramel aroma. Sweet mildy toasty caramel flavor with giveaway ale fruitiness and sweet finish. Medium body and carbo. Not sure what the purpose of another inferior Oktoberfest knockoff is. But what they hey, it’s not bad. When I picked it up I though it might be an autumn fresh hop beer, but I figured out before I bought it that it was a psuedo-Oktoberfest by a non-lagering micro. Eh, I tried it anyway. But, really, why? I mean there are for too few porters out there. Why not do that instead?

12oz bottle. Pours a deep reddish-amber, white fluffy head. Aroma is a flowery hop on top of a bready, toffee malt. Clean toasten munich malt smell. Flavor is a sweey caramel, toffee, toasted grains. Very full flavored. Easy to sit back and enjoy the fresh taste of Märzen bier. Overall, the color throws you off for style. The taste on the other hand... spot on. Delicious! Prost!
